Campaign to Target Male Depression.

Filed under: Boys / Youth / Education,Child Support,General,Men's Health — Downunder @ 10:23 am Fri 7th October 2005

A Stuff News Release advises the launching out of the blue campaign, for male depression and suicide, then links to a website about female and gay depression.

For anyone looking for a more appropriate website try this link to the
mental health site.

    Subject: Male Depression.

    Dear Louise,

Having had recent contact with many men who had either suicidal tendencies, or depression, after their dealings with the Family Court and IRD child support, the news article on Stuff about the out of the blue campaign was of interest to me.

When I checked the website I was disappointed to find that it obviously targeting women and gay men.

IMO that is a pretty pathetic attempt by our mental health services at what is a serious social issue.

    Bevan Berg.
