Girls growing up violent …

Filed under: General — Frank & Earnest @ 11:15 am

…. Girls aren’t violent, of course not, oh no …

With reference to an article on Stuff.co.nz yesterday

“Butchering a Barbie doll has become a rite of passage for many young girls, research has found. ”

“Researchers at the University of Bath in Britain were astonished at the violence and hatred shown to the doll. … Dr Agnes Nairn, who led the research, said girls saw Barbie torture as a legitimate play activity and saw the torture as a “cool” activity.

Now of course, if boys are ‘violent’ with their toys, that’s symtomatic of the inherent violent nature of boys (men).

But for girls: “While adults could find the action of children smashing up their toys disturbing, Nairn said from the child’s point of view they were being imaginative in disposing of them just as they would crush a can for recycling. ”

The balance of the article basically commends girls for their violent response to these dolls, which of course we all know are purely designed to promote the patriarchal all-women-are-sex-objects society …

This is sad research as the hatred shown is not a healthy thing for a young girl to do . Once a upon a time my two beautiful lost young daughters loved Barbie Dolls from Dad at Christmas and birthdays presents when I was part of their happy lives. I cannot understand how anyone as a good parent could say this is normal behaviour as it would have shocked me as a Dad to witness this unhappy situation ???

I seem to remember a similar study recently carried out that ‘prooved’ boys who were violent with thier toys were very likely to become murderers later in life…

But of course females are incapable of any voilence.

I think it’s about time society started taking a serious look at female violence. Particularly emotional violence towards Men. They go unchecked in this field, and if anything comes of it – it’s warped into being some poor guys fault.

In fact I wouldn’t be surprised (if the impossible happened) that a clear, unwarped and true study conducted found that females unchecked emotional violence towards Men was the cause of Men being ‘violent’ in the first place.

Apparently Domestic violence can only be perpertrated by males against females.

When a female assaults her husband it is understanable because ‘she is at the end of her tether’. Discharge without conviction is appropriate.

  4. Darryl says:

If a woman commits violence against a man, it is his fault, because violence by a woman against man is almost always excusable, and he must have either provoked her or otherwise deserved it.

If a man commits violence against a woman, it is his fault because violence by a man against a woman is never excusable, no matter how much he is provoked.

I was watching the news report on TV last night about the young girl that conspired to kill her own father.
I don’t personally think that the judge could have given any lighter sentence (if it could be called one).
However, had this been a young man that had conspired to do the same thing to his mother, you can more or less guarantee that the sentence would have been a lot harsher and the media coverage a lot greater.

  6. Chloe says:

I think they should have a Barbie with a buzz cut.

It’s merely practice for when they have real ones.
