Surprise, surprise. Study shows boys benefit from having male teachers as strong role models.

Ah, but how to get past the lace curtain errected by the likes of Air nz and feminist academics where all men are deemed to be potential paedophiles bringing risk to the children in state education?

Hawkes Bay Today: Girls are leaving boys in the dust at high school.

  1. The teachers union (PPTA) are obviously a crowd of idiots. An excuse as to why they have failed our young Men is

“boys are still too wrapped up in a world of irrelevant macho warrior violence and sport.”

So boys playing the “warrior game” is now violent ?

But boys have always, and always will play “the warrior game”, and girls will play thier girly games.

This clearly proves that they have geared the NCEA curriculum against boys.

“Boys’ socialisation and experience continues to prepare them for a world that does not exist any more.”

So do our boys no longer belong in society ? Is this because they think our (thier) society is purely for females ?

“The danger is of a subliminal equation of education with femininity,” he said.

This seems to be to prepare them for later on in life…

  3. Many men are being feminized into something resembling well -dressed eunuchs . California Governor Swartznegger colorfully refers to them as “girlymen. “

  4. You guys appear to be in some kind of denial. These are very good analyses of the situation:

boys are still too wrapped up in a world of irrelevant macho warrior violence and sport.”

“Boys’ socialisation and experience continues to prepare them for a world that does not exist any more.”

I came to this site expecting males here to be slightly more progressive than on the average political forum, but I find it is not the case. Attracted by the prospect of fairer treatment in the family court and elsewhere in society you guys come here to further reinforce the attitudes which led to guys like you not seeing your sons for years on end.

So long as women change and groove with the times while men cling to ancient rites, then men will become insecure while women continue to become more assertive. Women in the sixties embraced things that men do, such as wearing pants, becoming chief executives and joining the army, while at the same time finding ways to retain their femininity. Meanwhile men continue to hold onto the limited roles handed down by tradition and baulk at doing many things that women do because of fears it will take away their masculinity.

Family court judges give day to day care of children to women because men consider child care to be ‘girly’. You guys reinforce that reality. Well done.

Men have to keep reinventing masculinity. Ear studs, once only for gays are now accepted. Body fresheners, hair removers, and other beauty products are making their way into school boys’ toiletry kits. The world is changing and alas, you guys are no longer ‘kwl’.

You can still be tough and hard-nosed without being ‘warrior violent’. There are plenty of sports less violent than rugby but we are stuck with a national game that is particularly gory in its presentation (what is shown on TV) and its delivery (injury rate).
