Xmas at the Refuge?

Filed under: General — Paul Catton @ 9:43 pm

Dear readers,

We find ourselves at one of the hardest times for disenfranchised parents and our thoughts go out to parents and child/ren who will not be unified on Christmas Day.

An invitation is extended to any who may find themselves alone and would rather partake of Xmas in a more traditional way rather than being “stir crazy” eyeing the toaster.

Fortune has shined upon the refuge this year and it is able to provide a brief respite from forced unhappiness to perhaps a state of festivity.

A traditional dinner will be served with refreshments

Menu

Carvery Roast Pork, Roast Chicken, honey glazed Ham

Roast Potatoes, Pumpkin, Kumara

Seasonal vegetables

Plum Pudding, Sherry Trifle

Christmas Cake, Mince Pies

Assorted Cheese Boards and Snacks.

The cost as always, is solely your time to participate and welcomed by your presence.

To receive details of the venue contact East Auckland Refuge for Men and Families 940- 6236 or e-mail paulcat@woosh.co.nz

Kindest Regards

Paul Catton

  1. Thanks Paul,
I would love to share the day with all you guy’s (And Gals, and children) but as so often, distance precludes me.

One day I am going to suddenly appear and meet you all for a stress free beer.

  2. To all the non custodail parents reading this , I say head’s up as the battle is not over yet . We will have shared equal parental rights in NZ .
To Paul and the team . You are an inspiration to so many fathers disillusioned and bewildered by a corrupt and gender bias gravy train of deceit called the de family court. I celebrate my seventh Christmas as a falsely accused dad.

  3. Paul, what a wonderful man you are to do this. And so humble. Have a Merry Christmas.

Hey Dad4justice. I have some fun things we can do 2008. I have learnt heaps this year. And I am sure you have too.

In fact, I bet we all have grown in 2007.

  6. Thankyou Alistair, John, Julie and Peter.

The function as always was well catered and enjoyed immensely by the participants.
All attendees received festive cheer and experienced hospitality that was second to none.

Like all ventures put forward and sponsored by the Refuge, it was a success, however true success will be when the facilities are no longer required, contrary to the self servicing and ever expansive nature that exists in other type of Refuges.

    Kindest Regards
