Teddy Bear Picnic, Father and Child Trust and Project Reunion.
Last Sunday saw myself and Opal, Brother Mike and my nieces with an entourage from Mt Albert descend upon the function.
Ms. Helen Clark was also in attendance, therefore the question that should be asked, Where were you?
Numerous flyer’s and booklets promoting the Father and Child Trust http://www.fatherandchild.net.nz/ with further inserts detailing Project Reunion http://www.projectreunion.org.nz/ were handed out by Lynn and and her boyfriend and myself to this captivated crowd.
Mad Butcher Peter Leitch provided 14000 meat and 500 vegetarian sausages on what was labelled the worlds biggest BBQ, (however his sycophantic pandering toward Ms. Clark left me with no illusion that perhaps I stick to my Roast Beef and Roast Pork French Sticks with Camembert).
I think Opal, Mike and the girls with Bro Town did sneak snarlers whilst my back was turned.
It was always going to be a fun day regardless of Helen being in attendance, and the ability to provide our alternative information to this audience was exceptional, however, limitations were in place as to providing maximum of exposure.
Food for thought for next years event, we have the ability to reap promotion and awareness from the venture.
Project Reunion http://www.projectreunion.org.nz/ is still looking to Fund Raise by a Garage Sale type of enterprise and actively seeking your involvement, being either a donor, sponsor or a coordinator to host the event.
I would like to see inclusion by other charitable organisations to fully optimize the event, and maximize the potential of building bridges and obtaining revenue.
I have set aside quite a number of articles of worth to be included in this sale as likewise many have, even Benjamin Easton has provided promise from a friend of an Organ, the playable, sorry correction, the musical type.
Please back this venture on behalf of Project Reunion or your own charitable organisation that perhaps requires a fiscal boost.
Contact me with your interest at the Refuge as detailed below.
Kindest Regards
