ManAlive Inc was set up in West Auckland in 1992 to provide a programme for youths who were going through a difficult time in their lives. A major expansion in 1996 lead to the establishment of a men's centre, with a full range of services and courses for males. This agency for men was founded by Warwick Pudney, who recieved the Q.S.M. in 2004 for his work with men and non-violence and for co-authoring books such as Volcano In My Tummy.

We are a secular, non-political organisation offering a broad range of counselling services and programmes. Our goal is to support men and boys of all ages to gain understanding and strength in their relationships with partners, children, family and friends.
Run by men for men, ManAlive's team is dedicated to working with men in straightforward and practical ways. We believe that men are strengthened when they stand in a healthy community of men who support them as they face transitions in their lives.
Our services include:
- Counselling for men and boys
- Boys' programmes
- Non-violence courses (inc. Maori programme Tane Ora)
- Parenting programmes
- Men's support groups
- Big Buddy mentoring programme
We provide some support to mothers through our parenting programmes and acknowledge the importance of the mother/son relationship in the development of boys' emotional maturity.
We also recognise the father/daughter relationship by offering programmes in this area.
