Filed under: General — Ministry of Men's Affairs @ 7:35 pm

Hello everybody

The drama continues. Disgruntled members of the Miramar Golf Club don’t like MEN meeting to discuss well-being and gender equality at their club.

New venue: The Boardroom, Level One, Wellington Master Builders House, cnr Willis and Vivian streets.

The event is free. Anyone who has already paid will get a full refund.

Morning and Afternoon Tea provided. Cafe lunch at your own expense.

Still looking forward to a very successful summit.

See you there

It seems that feminist forces have been working hard to sabotage this Summit. In the past when confronted about men’s issues feminists have replied that their focus is on women’s issues and that men will need to attend to their own. However, when men do the feminists now use violence in various forms to try to stop them. We hope you will join this Summit and show the country that men will not be stopped.

  3. James says:

Hi, is registration required prior to the event if it’s free?

  4. Ministry of Men's Affairs says:

James, #3: It would help with catering for morning and afternoon teas, but if you were to just turn up on the day we’re sure you would be welcome.

  5. triassic says:

The Miramar Golf Club is unique in that you can play a round of golf provided that no balls are on the course!

  6. Jerry says:

Hey Kerry, is my daughter welcome to attend? Thing is women who do not agree with feminism and are not recognised, acknowledged by the feminists. They actually fall outside all recognition except in the MENZ movement. She cannot help being female, but her ordeal is much like many of us males share.
In this country, if you don’t agree with feminism, then you are nobody, don’t count and are utterly dehumanised – that happens to females too. She lives handy to the MENZ Summit and could gen me up later about it.
As for me, I can’t come. Yes distance and money are inconvenient, but the main reason is a pals son has just got tangled in the family caught, with police and is having custody issues. And yes his property is being taken. Thats just happened, and its all swirling him right now. So I’ll stay handy in case I can help.
But of course I have recommended he joins MENZ because most here know a lot more than I do and have more up to date experience too. I reckon when he has a moment’s respite, he will join up.

  7. Ministry of Men's Affairs says:

Jerry: Yes, your daughter and any women are welcome to attend. Assoc Prof Louise Dixon gave a good talk at the last Summit about the research she had done on male victims of domestic violence.

  8. Ministry of Men's Affairs says:

DJ Ward #8: Yep, and one starts to see how the Summit has been sabotaged but that won’t stop it. Of course, the feminists deny any involvement and we all know feminists never tell lies.

  9. Jerry says:

Wasn’t Bob McCroskie a speaker at the Men’s Summit?
    http://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/91357215/bob-mccoskrie-letter-to-my-teen-daughters-about-consent-rape-culture-and-mongrel-guys
I think he is a sexist biased sick mongrel too. Truth is females are just as “mongrel” in their own way, as males are. For McCriskie fo focus on males only and denigrate us in that way is sick. Why does he not also deal with the crooked females too if he really is about putting FAMILY FIRST? In my opinion this guy has no integrity and deserves no respect.

  10. Downunder says:

You try and talk to McCroskrie about separated men, Child Support, and similar issues and he won’t give you the time of day.

  11. voices back from the bush says:

10, Bob was expected to speak at the Men’s summit but he didn’t have the opportunity due to time constraints, After reading the article you’ve posted Jerry I’m pleased he didn’t waste my time with more offensive “rape culture” accusations.

  12. MurrayBacon says:

Dear Downunder #11 You have hit the nail on the head:

You try and talk to McCroskrie about separated men, Child Support, and similar issues and he won’t give you the time of day.

It is often said that women initiate 70% to 80% of separations.
Even if Bob is mainly marriage focussed, how does he suggest that forced-separated fathers play a significant and positive role in their children’s upbringing, in the face of evil and culture-less manipulations through child [and spousal” support games and familycaught$ games?
Constructive debate does need to address the full range of women’s difficulties and men’s difficulties.
It looks as though Bob is going to doGs.

  13. Downunder says:

Thank you Mr … bring home the bacon.

  14. Downunder says:

You might ask if they initiate that option for a personal gain or a better relationship.

  15. Jerry says:

AS A post script on the subject of Bob McCrosky who was meant to speak at the summit. Take a look at this today. Bob does not believe the courts have a role in justice, just listen to the accusation and go beat the accused to a pulp. Bob believes in Lynching. What an ignorant unjust a twisted person.

“Sensible Sentencing Trust to help Kapiti stepfather appeal guilty assault verdict for beating daughter’s rapist Jason Haward”.

  16. Man X Norton says:

Hang on Jerry, Bob McCroskie is with Family First, not the Nonsensical Sentencing Trust. McCroskie has shown he is a white knight, stereotyping and disrespecting males in ways that he would never subject females to, for example, in his article ‘A letter to my teen daughters about consent, rape culture and mongrel guys‘. But he and his crowd at least express value for the family.

The Nonsensical Sentencing Trust have really shown their duplicity and intellectual limitations in supporting violent crime on this occasion. For them, bashing up someone is fine if you feel previously wronged and you feel entitled to take the law into your own hands. No worries if your violence causes brain injuries and seizures in the person you attack. The Rarely Sensible Sentencing Trust is also dishonest in their claim that the offender acted in defence of himself and his daughter; no he didn’t, he acted outside the law in trying to hold the man and then by viciously attacking the man when he tried to leave. The man may well deserve serious punishment but that’s for the state to deliver following conviction beyond reasonable doubt. The Silly Sentencing Trust thinks mob rule and war lords will be good for society.

  17. Voices back from the bush says:

For the 2nd time on this page.

I bring your attention to the fact that BoB ‘WAS THERE’ on the day of the men’s summit.
If you had a challenge for him you could write him a letter or you could have taken the oppertunity to attend and meet him and you wouldve had all day to speak to him.

  18. Downunder says:

BUT the mere fact that McCroskrie turned up, may well indicate that he’s starting to wake up.

BUT when you look at the sheer length of time Garth McVicar and later his followers have been beating that drum, it’s not suprising they are getting a bit tired, at least they are not afraid to highlight female offending as well.

  19. Buster says:

    Hi Guys

I made a post couple of days ago regarding Hornet’s post and how good it was.
I went onto give a brief of my situation and then would follow it up in detail
    I cannot find either post
AM I being censored or removed or just useless at navigating around the site.

    Suggestions or comments please

    Thanks Downunder

  22. Man X Norton says:

Downunder @ 19: I haven’t seen evidence of the Senseless Sentencing Trust highlighting female offending. Do you have any examples? If there are any they are definitely rare, these mob rule vigilantes being white knights of the highest order who almost exclusively target males. Their support of the violent male offender who seriously beat up an alleged (at that time) rapist was primarily because it was retribution for harming a female.

  23. Downunder says:

    They have a website.

  24. Jerry says:

Downunder @24; Words are cheap and often written for appearance – not reality. I encountered so many supposedly “Gender Neutral” laws and web-pages – its not what is written, its what is carried out in practice. Thats the reality we have always faced, but now they can overtly campaign unjustly, pass unjust laws etc. Maybe they do have things which appear to acknowledge women’s violence, but I have not come across it. And given my history my radar is up and alert for it. There are those who see the Government, Not-OK, White Ribbon and even Women’s refufe as if gender neutral – I just wonder what wacky pills they take. Isn’t it what they do, not what they post for appearance sake?

  25. Man X Norton says:

Family First is about to lose its charitable status because it engages in political lobbying and political opinions through news media. Will we now see numerous feminist groups such as Women’s Refuge lose their charitable status because there’s absolutely no doubt they also engage in political lobbying and agitation through the media? I don’t believe the Nats will have either the bravery or integrity to apply the same ruling to feminist groups.

  26. Downunder says:

Family First is being pushed down to our level.

Plenty of men who have passed this way have lost considerably more than a charitable status.

Do you think the Nats might be in for a walk-across-the-line election?

A little pressure group like Family First … pfff.

  27. Jerry says:

Well I am glad if they lose charity status. Better still if the media sends them to Coventry – well we can but hope. I have a long and discusing list of similar groups which deserve the same fate as being touted for Family First. Which should top my list – its so hard to choose one out of such a long list of noxious entities. Apart from those already mentioned, Sensible Sentencing has to be right up there too.

  28. Downunder says:

    @Jerry

This goes back to the days of the last Labour Government and the Charities Commission – Family First has done well to hold out this long.

These commissions empower the State and insulate the political body.

See that for what it is.

One of the key Feminist strategies is to rely on State enforced policy rather than parliamentary law.
