The woman asked for a sum and was offered $850,000, just to go away.
Her FEMALE lawyer ‘advised’ her not to accept but go instead for $37 friggin million (of which the lawyer would get a quarter).
It should be classified as criminal extortion.
Let us for one small moment make the assumption that Mr McWhotsit did in fact try to kiss this woman, due perhaps to some lack of discernment and good taste.
So what?
He didn’t sctually kiss her.
He may have said something risque. He may have even suggested a kiss.
But is that such an insult and a damage to her that she should get $37 million dollars?
Silly question really. Of course it isn’t.
It makes any male-female interaction fraught with ridiculous danger.
It is an hysterical demand and any judge with sense should dismiss the case and order her immediate arrest for extortion. The lawyer should be disbarred.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a Judge like that. Not one.

Man, this is like something out of the Victorian era! Man attempts to kiss woman, sky falls in! Dickens went right to the heart of this in Bleak House. Once the money’s been carved up, the lawyers and judges will move on to the next case. This is not about sexual harassment. It’s about $37 million.
