Man Blackmailed $414,000 for Alleged Sexual Act
Gentlemen, take note, this is the only way to handle a female blackmailer.
Good on the man for going to the police and laying a complaint.
Blackmail over alleged sexual act
Seems a woman picks out a man and sends him an email for money.
I wonder what the sentence will be. A wet bus ticket slap I suspect.
I wonder if the webmaster could install an area to upload names and photos, details of these woman who commit crimes like this. Name and shame is part of it but alert for other men could help the inexperienced.
After the blackmail

A man gets a protection order slapped on him which in effect is legalised blackmail, but are his allegations of domestic violence, child abuse, or perjury ever investigated.
This country allows women to dream up any crime they want and get away with it.

Crimes act 1961 Section 238
Punishment of blackmail.
Every one who commits blackmail is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 14 years.
Compare: 1961 No 43 s 238(1)
Section 238: replaced, on 1 October 2003, by section 15 of the Crimes Amendment Act 2003 (2003 No 39).

Now you might expect blackmailing someone for this sort of sum and for a sexual assult might just carry the think end or 14 years. I’ll bet she wont see the inside of a cell for a second.

Lukenz asks:
I don’t see any point in having a separate area for this.
If you make a post titled “Jeanette Faye Francis – blackmail over false rape claim” (perhaps when she is sentenced), it will show up in Google search results.
Make sure you tick the “sex abuse / CYF” box in the category panel.
I only allow regular posters to upload photos and other media – I have now given you this permission, Lukenz.
NB: any media must be under 250 KB or you will get an error message.

Notice how the man is referred to only as ‘the complainant’. Any woman in the same situation (or ANY situation where she is found to have been subjected to a criminal offence and usually even if she alleges an offence against her that has not yet been proven) is always referred to as ‘the victim’. In the current case the offence has been proven beyond reasonable doubt, so there’s absolutely no excuse for not referring to the man as a victim.
The refusal (of the journalist, or the Court?) to recognize this victim as such suggests the case will be treated as a variation on the battered woman’s defence: “I had no choice but to kill him in self-defence as he lay sleeping in bed because he had been violent towards me”. Murdering women usually get found not guilty of murder on that basis so don’t be surprised if Jeanette Faye Francis gets discharged without conviction or at least escapes any punishment at all.

…received an email from Francis that had an invoice attached demanding $414,000 including GST.
How bizarre. If this were in Australia and she were not registered in our GST system she is committing tax fraud. Furthermore I can guarantee she had no intention of handing over the GST component(NZ$54,000) to your Inland Revenue were she successful in her blackmail attempt.
If she isn’t punished appropriately in criminal court maybe the IR should be sicked on her. That’s how they got Capone after all.

The three day trial has gone by, without any reporting of outcome. Even if it was to be a reserved judgement, that should be out now. Has anyone heard whether she was found guilty or not?

As I read the original rep[ort she was convicted on her guilty plea and will come up for sentencing on May 27th.
