Is that the same as a fire crew having to decide between a car crash and a house fire, because they can’t do both?

Theres that world VULNERABLE again……
Given all I have said on this site about how the state is targeting and or creating vulnerable citizens, keeping protective dads away from their children or keeping fathers and sons away from the elderly vulnerable widows – one has to ask WHY? are the police now making this a priority?
A E I O U – and SOMETIMES – Y ( WHY ) because not many people ask “WHY” ??????????????????.
So the UK police are targeting the most “VULNERABLE” – perhaps because vulnerable people are more susceptible to being BULLIED and intimidated.
VULNERABLE people generate the largest opportunity to be preyed on for profit and or exploitation by corporations, and that is a very very dangerous thing.

I don’t agree with that @Hornet.
There’s an associated story on the same page – taking Bobbies off the beat.
So, what I see happening here, is the Police saying, pay for half the job, you’ll get half the job.
But the State in the political economy is saying, we can’t supply more money because we are meeting other demands.
For me the bigger picture is a consequence of political economy and understanding it, rather than suggesting this police administration is carrying out some sort of political wish list.
I think you are blaming the wrong cause.

@Luke nz I do not see the relationship between a British Media report and Donald Trump and American voters.

White middle class men are the least vulnerable of london society are they?
Isn’t it a known fact that london men are more than twice as likely to be attacked on the streets than females are?
Given the definition of vulnerable is
-“Exposed to the possibility of being attacked or harmed, either physically or emotionally.”
So here they are suggesting that after a crime has been commited, white men that speak english and are not dirt poor are somehow less “exposed” to further risk than others are.
They are suggesting that after a crime has been committed a white victim who is male and is wearing something from Marks and Spencers feels less pain or trauma than a non white non male or someone who hasn’t learned the english language.
To priorotise the so called -vulnerable used to mean the opposite, Police would embark on regular patrols driving and trotting down the avenues in Milton Keynes and other affluent areas and leaving the scum of Brixton to sort out their own difficulties, this was justified by suggesting that wealthy burglary victims had so much more to lose and that criminals were ‘targeting’ the wealthy.
I find it hard to believe that this- in practice, will change.
I think this is just the police admitting that male victims of crime are less important than female ones.
Of course these policy changes will seep into our own policing further discriminating against male victims in New Zealand.
They have chosen the Male deputy commissioner Craig Mackey to be the bearer of discrimination policing but its not vulnerabilty thats being targeted, victims should first have vulva-ability.
This would no doubt have been insisted apon by the new head of the the metropolitan police Cressida Dick with the blessing of Theresa May who Appointed her, Alison Saunders at the crime prosecution services and Lynn Owens director of the national crime agency.
There’s still one sure way to guarantee that police will turn up to make a report if you are a male victim of crime.- Phone 111 and tell them about the incedent and that a female police officer has already attended but she is now lying on the ground with blood pouring from her head.
Its best if your prepared with coffee and donuts for the entire squad.
Its also a good tactic if you wan’t to commit a crime on the other side of town.

@ Downunder.
In terms of all Western countries. I’m sorry you can’t connect the dots.
It wasn’t a media report. It was an arranged formal statement read out loud in public from UK police that made it official and policy. You are a white male therefore we care less about you to the extent that you are now last to every other human in the country. You are expendable, all other humans are more important than you. You will not have the same protection the Police provide to other humans. If we are busy you can fend for yourself without help.

The Met – looks after 8.5 million people in Central London.
UK police – operate throughout England Scotland and Wales.
To make it simple for you LukeNZ, let’s try two dots at a time, so your imagination doesn’t get ahead of the picture.

The South Wales Police have been left with a significant investigation into the Tory Call Centre, contracted for the election.
Does it concern you LukeNZ, that this is an unnecessary cost to a police budget caused by political behaviour?

Voices – white middle class men is the post title LukeNZ invented then linked to the article.
The article is not about White Middle-Class Men – unless you want it to be.
Me, I’m just a little ol’ country boy – all arse, and no class.

#2 re vulnerable people.
Interesting case this one.
Firstly it involves a male NZer with a foreign born child.
Second there has DV in NZ where he was accused.
Third she admits later it’s her fault.
She’s not seeking citenzenship but who knows now there’s a NZ citizen child.
Is the decision to protect her from him?
Is it to protect him from a loose unit?
Is it to prevent the father from having a relationship with the child?
