Link to Purchase

In my wander through the net today, I found a post on this little character.

This text is copied from the purchase site linked to above.

Show anyone with anxiety or depression that it’s ok to say if they don’t feel ok.

Visually show anyone suffering from anxiety or depression that “it’s ok to say if you don’t feel ok”, by displaying one of our black dog stickers or wearing one of our patches, badges or lapel pins (pictured).

You don’t have to be suffering from anxiety or depression yourself in order to wear or display the dancing black dog symbol, because doing so does not mean you are saying “I suffer from anxiety or depression”. Rather, it means you are saying “it’s ok to say if you don’t feel ok” to anyone around you who may be suffering from anxiety or depression. As many as one in four people suffer in silence from depression or anxiety. Sometimes they come across as the happiest person in the room, yet on the inside they are in fact the loneliest.

Postage is free on all orders for lapel pins, badges and stickers – to anywhere in the world.

It is not a NZ promotion but may be of interest to some readers.

  1. That’s what friends are for…Dionne Warwick….https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyTpu6BmE88

Oh Man!,, is this digital age where people have a zillion friends, does this mean they do not have ONE ? , real friend? I mean ,,, do we really need group therapy, one good friend goes a helluva long way.
Surely we have nae lost the ability to make a great friend, is it a lack of time or commitment to the RELATIONSHIP we humans are capable of creating.
… to wear your heart on your sleeve is not a good competive stance is it?
…. or is competition out the window,,,

We should be using Resilience as a focus in prevention of the need to all acknowledge the black dog that lives in everyones’ back yard. I am not saying ignore the black dog, oh no, don’t get it’s ire up, but play along and try to keep him happy, maybe he just needs a friend too.

  2. I think there’s a flip side to that, Mama, that it’s an oppression that puts the dog in the back yard.

That’s not to say that people with oppression are dogs, but that it’s hard to see the context of the oppression or the hunted dog.

  3. Downunder,,, I believe it is human nature, we all have bio rhythms, we have to learn to live with it on a personal level and we need to deal with it on a personal level, of course if someone is in a struggle with themselves and what life has thrown them they need to talk, but if we all live with heart on sleeve it will quell the need to rise above and grow the gritier more resilient side of ourselves.

  4. …also it seems to me that with questions about installing more cousellors in universities, schools, etc people are becoming more fragile and at a younger age, so how is it working out for us, seems that something is exacerbating the problem. Here we are using all manner of modern devicery to communicate and get our entertainment but at the same time we are getting sicker, weaker?…what the hell are we doing giving this sickness to the children, because we feel we have to, are our arms behind our backs from pressure from the big fat giant companies that sell us this shit, no, for f..ks sake we do it willingly, the pressure comes from us all and this need to be all in the same boat?,,

  5. ..in order to help the sickness in our heads our government does things like pay for some chick every year to have a dick pasted on or a handful of men to have theirs removed, who is sick then?..what do the kiddies think about that?,,do they wanna go out and make some taxes to help those people get well???
The black dog for some kiwis has been created by the powers at be themselves, show us the great world, happiness comes from the simplest of things, having kids used to provide some of this kind of happiness, but you wont get that if you can not see them and you wont get this when they are addicted to the devices we are filling their time with.
