MGTOW Review
Feminism hasn’t been a consistent beast – it’s evolved through various stages to the now unfathomable Intersectional Feminism .
Identity Politics, likewise has changed its definition to its current state of ambiguity.
So, in a similar way it’s fair to expect MGTOW (Men Going Their Own Way) to follow a similar pattern.
When the idea of MGTOW became an acronym it was regarded as a dirty word, and anyone who considered themselves one, a deserter. I can understand that with the conservative lot who have cycled through this blog. Then we began to see it take hold in the next generation, especially in Japan, where it is effectively a social crisis. (They have wedding centres on street corners like we have dairies, as young men engage the internet rather than a fiancée)
Recently such stories have been in my face and it caught up with me again over the weekend. I bumped into a casual acquaintance who had just informed his partner it was over – “I’ve had enough of this, I’m leaving.”
He wants a retirement. After a life time of work, he wants some peace and quiet and some quality of life. He’s selling up and heading north; a slightly more civilised version of going bush. What’s your reaction? Selfish? Deserter?
One of the accompanying themes with these conversations has to do with children, their abject failure. We (men) are not used to being forced to watch failure and not be able to intervene. In particular where the new partner has a 40 something baby, who can’t manage her own life and who herself has a baby. Intergenerational failure but men have to stand by and watch for two reasons.
1. Men no longer have the authority.
2. Mum’s got her own money to finance these situations.
It’s a glimpse at our version of MGTOW, that perhaps we’re blind to because we prefer to label the man the failure.
So, are you a Kiwi MGTOW?
Do you feel like conservative men don’t understand your perspective?
Are you a conservative person who has a different view?
Did you find a way out of the squeeze and not become a MGTOW, even though it was looking like a pretty good option?
What about these useless kids in the next generation, who are not even capable of looking after themselves let alone elderly parents.
I am a WSWMM, ( woman staying with my man ), and I gotta tell you that I’m Happy to be Stuck with Him, I could not waste our history, I want someone to grow old with, I want solidity and solidarity for our family, the way women are the now is driving us nuts simultaniously and simultaniously the way our grand kids can act makes us wonder etc, etc, but we fight like crazy, like always.
However our Son is caught in this stale mate point in time, an MGTOW in the making, a weird time for every Man and boy.

@mama fair play to your son. I Applaud him. The Path Modern Women have chosen to take is exactly why so many men are turning their backs on women. Respect your sons choice considering todays “modern empowered women” have nothing but contempt for men.
