Commercialized Rape
This political position may have emerged somewhere in the past prior to NZ Opposition Leader Judith Collins’ announcement that this was her personal view, back somewhere around our recent 2020 election.
It’s gained some traction amongst right wing supporters although I wouldn’t say Conservative supporters.
It’s another of those blame-for-all policies directed at men, and the malicious use of the word rape, out of parliament again.
I’m not taking a position on prostitution either way here, you can please yourself how you view that.
The origins of criminal rape no doubt had more to do with protecting the unborn or unwanted child than it did with the preservation of female dignity, hurt feelings, or commercialism.
What we are seeing here is the Opposition Leader advancing a somewhat muddled convenient piffle that suits the centrist ground that Labour and National squabble over and if men are to blame that’s fine.
No it’s not fine, Conservatives don’t hate men, and they are not inclined to engage in gender politics.
And, you can’t help thinking National are trying to advance a more Conservative position, with former Opposition Leader Simon Bridges saying this week, that his Opposition Leader doesn’t tell him off, the only person who tells him off is his wife.
Bridges is sounding more like a man that still needs his mother rather than any form of forthright Conservative male leader, perhaps he just has a lively sense of humour.
None of this is impressing me, especially when it comes to the derision of men for political convenience and the pretence of Conservative politics for votes.
What if u find yourself victim of the old boys network and no one will stand up for you for fear of their career in the legal community where do you go?

@1 This is difficult as you find anomalies in the legal process.
Personally I’ve had both male and female lawyers crying down the phone because of the industry threats.
Essentially you as a representation of your circumstances become a political hot potato as well.
Your far from the only person in this country in that position.
I’d suggest it’s also at the bottom of some legal suicides as well.
