How about changing the heading to “abused men and boys turn to suicide as a release.”
The Australian Government found The Family Court were responsible for 3 male suicides a day.

They are on a crusade, to make men pay.

This has good information about men and Child Support.

How do they do that?
The article explores those things.
They run away.
They stop working, giving up.
They do everything, under the table, cash.
They run business, at a loss.
They jump between jobs.
In summary if you made a list of the most stupid economic solutions ever made by humans.
Child Support is on the list.
The economic losses, the tax lost, enormous.
At no point is it mentioned, or questioned.
Is Child Support to harsh, on paying parents.
Being less harsh, would increase participation, and lessen avoidance.
As for men’s suicides, not mentioned, the Minister says it best.
“A spokesman for Revenue Minister David Parker said a new grace period and longer time period before the imposition of subsequent penalties for non-payment would give Inland Revenue the opportunity to engage with parents, promote understanding and encourage payment. Incremental penalties had also been removed as a way of stopping penalties from growing to the point where people disengage.”
