Peter Ellis – NOT GUILTY – Psychiatrist Karen Zelas Mislead Court.
30 Years of court battles. Why so long?
Who is answerable to Peter Ellis injustice?
Judge blames psychiatrist Karen Zelas
* The Supreme Court has ruled convictions on sex charges against Peter Ellis were based on a miscarriage of justice.
* Ellis was not alive to hear the rulings. He died of bladder cancer in September 2019.
* The court slammed the evidence of “critical” Crown expert witness psychiatrist Karen Zelas as unbalanced and misleading.
* It said parental questioning of the child complainants raised the risk of the children’s evidence being contaminated which was unappreciated at the time.
The Supreme Court says,
“If the jury had been correctly informed of the level of risk, that may have created a reasonable doubt about the allegations made, at least in relation to some of the complainants. As the evidence of the complainants was mutually supportive, the undermining of some of the verdicts necessarily calls into question all the verdicts.”
Haven’t we come a long way, with justice.
From judging being tyranny, to this case.
A corrupt case in the past, resulted in deaths.
For Ellis it was prison, and the prison of reputation.
So Ellis was lucky, only in that justice finally worked.
But he to, was subject to justice being tyranny.
Then at the time of the case, justice was flawed.
The court failing to get to the truth, or recognise persecution.
Yet today we can not claim victory, as today has its own tyranny.
Today’s false accusation, or innocent as the suspect.
Even today, justice will make a mistake.
Is thirty years the lag in time, for justice to mature.

Thank you Peter, your family and your lawyers for persistance.

I have held the Court system in contempt for 30 years, specifically because of how such allegations are treated. The Peter Ellis case is in the news, and there are hundreds more fathers and families that fell victim to the witch hunt against fathers at that time.
The underlying issues are
1 The assumption of guilty until proven innocent
2 Children never lie (even after sustained barrages of leading questioning)
3 That “recovered memories” are valid evidence.
I await to see if there are general changes, not just “Oops we got it wrong in “the Peter Ellis case.
I hold the so-called “Justice system” on probation in the meantime.

Recovered memories are used when the complainant can’t explain why they didn’t remember at the time.
When you listen to the podcast in #1. It is about as bizarre as you can get.
* 7 year old girl said her interviewer, supervised by Karen Zelas taught me what he did. Said her claim Ellis urinated on her was not true.
* When one of the girls turned 11 she said she was told to say that by her mother.
Where are the charges against Karen Zelas and the mother of the 11-year-old girl?
The children made the same claims against the women. Why were all the charges against the women dismissed? It is as bias as you can get.

Maybe it’s a problem, as a legal argument.
They didn’t lie, they manipulated others to lie.
So technically, they didn’t actually lie.
You could argue, for perverting the course of justice.
But they may argue, for the standard of the day.
It was policy and education, that told them to do it.
We can judge them, with reputation.
As they can’t avoid history recording, and judging acts.
That at least we know, they can’t get away with.

I’m glad to learn that New Zealand’s top judges had the integrity to redress this tragic failure on the part of the legal system. Hundreds of lives have been ruined and millions of dollars have been wasted, all based on such an implausible case that it should have never proceeded beyond the front desk of the police station where it was first reported. But will anybody, ever be held accountable?
There is a good follow-up story from Martin Van Beynen at Stuff: Proud, tearful family of creche worker Peter Ellis say his mana has been ‘restored’ which includes video interviews with Peter’s brother, creche manager Gaye Davidson and Lynley Hood, author of “A City Possessed”.
Also, some useful analysis of the decision at RNZ: Supreme Court quashes Peter Ellis’ child sex offence convictions.

So will psychiatrist Karen Zelas face any action ?
https://nzap.org.nz/roh/dr-karen-zelas/
On the above page, the NZ Association of Psychotherapists says the following about her …. “Karen is a staunch advocate for professionalism and individual and collective accountability. She is widely respected for her knowledge, expertise and clarity of thought and her consultative practices within the membership.”
Will the “membership” hold her to account seeing she is a staunch advocate for professionalism and accountability ? I’d bet not.

What happens when the offender, is judging offending.
“For three years Karen was Acting Chair of the Ethics and Professional Standards Committee. It was during this time that she spearheaded the revision of the Code of Ethics.”
I wonder if it included, making up rubbish in court.
Manipulation of patients, to lie in court.
I doubt a single word, is in the code of ethics.
Anything’s acceptable, when feminists persecute men.

I recently made a mistake, in a conclusion I made.
My screen on this device is cracked, and the kids dit it.
Both in denial, at the start.
Being kids, with endless fights over turns.
I assumed in the fighting, the pulling and pushing did it.
Having told them off many times, I blamed myself.
I should have known, that it would happen.
So really it was me, giving to much risk of bad results.
It’s a better way to think, than be angry at the kids.
As the days have past, the truth has come out.
This device fell off a couch, as an accident.
I was completely wrong, in my assumption.
How much of Karen’s story, was from assumption.

The children didn’t know better. They are blameless for what their mothers did to them.
Former creche manager Gaye Davidson said the parents were driven by every claim they made. $10,000 per claim. Fairly strong incentive given the NZ$10,000 then is now worth $19,719.12 today.

My question is, can we have the money back?
Moving along to Karen Zelas. When is the media going to interview her?
What about Detective Colin Eade sex binge. He was banging 2 of the mothers, and asked a third mother for a shag all while he was investigating the allegations.
In an interview with Sean Plunkett on Radio New Zealand’s Morning Report on 20 November 1997, Eade admitted that after the trial he had sexual relationships with two of the mothers involved in the case and that he had propositioned another mother during the course of the investigation when he was drunk.
New Zealand First MP Rana Waitai, who was a former police commander with 31 years’ experience, said “If half of what was on the (20/20) programme is true, Peter Ellis must immediately be released and hugely compensated for the devastation that has been done to his life.

I can’t find the 20/20 program.
