Funding Confusion

by Peter White of the Western Leader.

Josh isn’t the only kid with heaps of sporting potential but limited cash reserves. The Western Leader has profiled dozens of youngsters over the past year whose families spend their weekends scrapping together every spare dollar they can. It’s not uncommon to find proud mums and dads manning suasage sizzles and selling raffle tickets in a bid to get their youngsters of to various career-launching tournaments all over the world.

What else can they do?

There is no obvious place to apply for financial assistance and the various funding agencies all have different criteria as to who can apply.

Perhaps it is time for all parties to come up with a solution so our talented sportspeople have a clearly defined process to follow. It is a real shame to see them struggling to get the help they desperately need to persue their goals. Encouraging our young people’s sporting ambitions is surely a far better alternative to having them wandering aimlessly around the streets.

What do you think? Contact [email protected] if you have a view on the sporting issue.

My view is that we need a MALE’S COMMISSION so that our boys can get as much assistance as our girls. If Josh was a girl this would be highly promoted even research would be paid out at around $120 per hour to show how wonderful our girl’s are succeeding in sporting achievements around the world and even more money would be spend to promote even more girl’s.

  1. We have no show of ever getting a Ministry of Men’s Affairs or Commission under this present sisterhood regime . I have advised my tradesmen twin sons to go to Australia asap to start their families . I am thankful they have both listened . 600 New Zealander’s are leaving kiwiland every week for good !!!! .I wish I could go 🙁

Why do we have NO SHOW?

  3. Dear Julie,
Sorry to be so negative as I appreciate real women —like you giving the situation some much-needed balance, however the answer to your question is simple. I believe we have no show because of the bitter experience of my personal case and the comments of the demoted MP John Tamihere at that now —infamous lunch; “ Where else in the world do Amazons rule?” I reckon if I were ever the Minister of Men’s Affairs I would ask the Minster of Justice one question. Why the Government do not actually collect any statistics on how many people make false allegations of domestic violence in the family courts and or how it is actually possible to effectively evaluate any safe guards which are said to be in place to protect parents from false allegations of abuse in the family courts if they do not collect this information?

  4. Uncle helengrad recieves a huge amount of letters from Men afflicted by her hateful, communist constraints imposed upon Men in NZ.

Her secretary writes back a letter of response saying, pretty much “Your letter was recieved”

Yet she responds to a letter from a 63 year old who wants in on the “persecute the Males” bandwagon, probably to get a couple of million in compensation, no doubt, at the expense of an insignificant life form formely known as a “male”

With the current state of our biased “government” Julie, do you really think we mere males have the slightest of chance ?

America just showed that their president had no idea of what the country thought of him.

And Helengrad will fall, because she represents 48% of the NZ population. (last time I looked)

It’s just a shame that she left such a huge mess for National to clean up.

  5. Julie,
Listen to what is being told you – We need to move ahead not go back over stuff learnt 30/40 years ago by those who listen

Helengrad did not begin with HELEN

Helengrad as its become known has been gained by pervasive stealth and creeps on while WE debate

It may well be to late to stop it

Is not my **Disorderly Conduct** Charge for doing what has been seen 100’s of times as a legitimate PROTEST and the fact that I have received NOTHING from WINZ to FATHER my Son on a ligitimate **Single Persons Invalids Benefit** since mid 2000 NOT enough to persuade YOU and the 1000’s of others who debate that something terrible is apon us?

Open your eyes to the **White Ribbon** promotion of Boys are BAD Girls are GOOD bullshit to be yet another

Love your spirit but PLEASE move fwd with OPEN eyes above NOT SPIN Doctored inquisitiveness

    Onward – Jim

  6. Ok, OK, OK. Yes I hear what is being said.

And I am aware it is even bigger than what we debate about. Do you think the Republic falling for the election in America is going to stop how powerful these people have become, how corrupt and how connected they are. Christianity talks about their 7 headed dragon with a female sitting on top, drunk with the blood of righteous and yet they can’t figure out what it means? And even if they could they think some angel is going to come in the form of man and save the world while they step out of the situation. Is not the one who at least tries to make a difference better than the one who sits and complains???

People tell me it is far too late. But as you, I have to look into the eyes of the innocent and tell them … what?

    Better off to get stoned???

I know it is impossible to save the world but why can’t we save one little country. Why can’t we all connect ourselves? Everyone talks about it.

What is the cost of human blood for someone to listen??? And is not the blood also on our hands if we ignore the cries????

  7. Julie your enthusiasm has got me motivated to dust off and read Norman Vincent Peale’s book titled The Tough-Minded Optimist again . We all agree something must be down to address the unlawful gender discrimnation from a government that clearly will not listen to the people .How do we affect the much needed balance and change? That is the billion dollar question? We have tried nearly everything ?

  8. Julie,
    Welcome to the fringe.
    To the leading edge.
Sometimes a lonely place to be.

To anyone tempted to, I say –
    Don’t get stoned.

Whilst I can easily imagine the despair at living in feminist nz, fighting this culture war against the misandrists requires intellectual capital that would be sorely missed if sensible folks went down that path.

It’s only a matter of time before the tipping point is reached and enough people wake up to the massive social engineering being done with taxpayers money – and vote with their feet or otherwise for a move away from left/liberal/feminist values.
All that divorce, abortions, false allegations, fatherlessness, male underachievement, red tape.

Over time this tears to shreds social fabric. It stiffles people’s natural aspirations.
Trouble is it’s happened and continues to happen as Jim cogently points out by stealth.
I reckon most nzers are like the proverbial frog in the pot. The water’s being heated up gradually around them and they’re in danger of being boiled but don’t know it.

You’re obviously smart enough to have realised this for yourself.

I think you have a stark choice.
Stay there and fight (whilst your tax money is used against you by misandrists) or cut and run.

    I chose the latter.
I’m now like others I know a ‘sniper’ ex pat.
In our electronically connected world you could be virtually anywhere and still pop up to take a shot at misandrists back in your homeland.

Sure, in a sense you’re out on the edge. Remember though – the edge is where foe are often outflanked.

    Your call.

  9. Stephen,

I am staying for a while longer. Sometimes if you are “still” enough you see a path unfold infront of your eyes. It is not my time to leave.

I know I have a part to play in this.

  10. Julie,
re – “I am staying for a while longer. Sometimes if you are “still” enough you see a path unfold infront of your eyes. It is not my time to leave. I know I have a part to play in this”.

I’m sure you do have a part to play in trying to shift nz society towards equal rights for men.
You have the luxury of being female, so won’t need to avoid being “still” -whereby you’re a sitting target for misandry.
I can only envy the many privileges that means you and members of your sex have (better healthcare, better wellbeing advocacy, more tax dollars spent on you, vocational opportunities, political representation, longevity – to name some) whilst I wouldn’t want them at the expense of the nz menfolk.

  11. Stephen,

I had to look up misandry and found it means the “Hatred of men.” These women you talk of are even a problem to the femenists in NZ. They are ugly right down to the bone and they are mean even to women. They are diseased and I stay as far away from them as possible. I will tell you that the women who work in places like the abortion clinics act and have the energy of murderers. They are horrible human beings. (Of course that is not all of them but they have been fed this hatred from their leaders) One is a friend of mine and I am heart broken as to how much she is changing and so are our friends.

  12. Ooops, jumped the gun.

It seems that femenism has once again started attacking christianity for being descriminative against women.

I have to say that personally, I think they will get the support of more than half of the world this time. They are so predictable. If they don’t get it the first time they keep nagging until they do. They never forget. You men are also so predicatable. It doesn’t seem to take much and you are happy. Then you just get on with it. And you do forget.

Bye, bye christianity. It seems the first 5 parts of your bible are naughty, naughty.

So, tell me Stephen, did you already know this was going to happen as now I am wondering how on the edge you actually are?

    Comment by julie — Mon 13th November 2006 @ 5:22 pm

  13. Julie,
No I didn’t know the fems were after the book of Genesis. At least I suppose that’s what your referring to here –

It seems the first 5 parts of your bible are naughty, naughty.

Then again I don’t really pay such close attention to Christian matters. However I’m not surprised.

I wouldn’t write off Christianity in a hurry though. Christians have stood up to the Romans, Saracens, Nazzi Germany and British weather for ages.
Remember too that in places other than nz Christianity is

    B
    I
    G.

Check out Latin America and the Phillipines for starters.

    Comment by Stephen — Tue 14th November 2006 @ 3:32 am

  14. Stephen,

yes, of course. I am sure no-one would ever turn against people’s rights to raise their children the way they see fit and I am sure the right to one’s own religion would come before the rights of a child and women in Domestic Violence. Silly me… What was I thinking?

Even though women’s rights have taken men’s away through stealth, one would know that these women are of course… sane…and would never question such a thing…

I will not bring the subject up again as I am sure it is far too unbelievable for a normal person to consider for one moment in their lives.
