Men’s Centre 10th Birthday Party
A small but dedicated bunch of men women and children (plus a “parrot” – centre of photo behind cake) turned up to celebrate the 10th Aniversary of Men’s Centre North Shore. Several super-heroes were in attendance. Jack Lioneagle’s protest songs were played loudly, Speights was sunk and cake was eaten.
The evening’s most enthusiastically received toast was “that in another 10 years the Men’s Centre would be redundant”.
Congratulations indeed. You have been a beacon of light and during a dark and loathsome period of NZ misandry. I too hope that sometie soon there will be no need for such an organisation, but in the meantime will sing praises for your efforts.
Well done.
Stephen Gee.

Super time for Men’s Centre
Super heroes converged on North Shore Men’s Centre to celebrate men’s rights in the centre’s 10th birthday.
They dressed like the British men’s rights campaigner who put on a Batman suit and climbed onto a balcony at Buckingham Palace.
The Men’s Centre held a dress-up party on Saturday night and encouraged people to dress as super heroes in support of the British campaigner. Committee member Kerry Bevan says the centre is proud of its efforts and the work its done for men’s rights over the past ten years. He says dialogue between men’s groups and MPs over changing policies and laws relating to men’s rights has begun to happen.
The Centre has held seminars on paying child support, and for men have been through the Family Court.
It also does counselling work and refers men to other courses such as anger management.
