CPAG report on Child Tax

A summary and comparison of legislation and policy in New Zealand and Australia.
Child Poverty Action Group [PDF ]

I don’t agree with this report, it relies heavily on the Trapski Report which is 14 years old.

It does show that groups are lobbying for Child Tax Reform and they are focused with the eye on the prize.

  1. This report does not make itself clear. It simply says the current scheme should be replaced and the whole basis should be rethought. Well that’s not news to all of us.
It notes the flawed ideology that the current scheme is based on. This is a positive development. It seems to be designed to promote discussion rather than take a position – but this is not entirely clear.
