Rhiannon Brooker – Cries Rape 11 times

Brooker is now standing trial for 11 false claims of rape and nine of assault, two of which include imprisonment allegations.

The dangers of being a man …

Rhiannon Brooker, 30, falsely accused her boyfriend of repeatedly raping and assaulting her, which saw him arrested, charged and held in custody for 30 days.

It then emerged that she (the trainee barrister) had used the allegations as “extenuating circumstances” in a failed attempt to dodge her (bar) exams, Bristol Crown Court heard.

Acidic feminists who rail against oppression in their perceived rape-culture should be up in arms demanding severe jail sentences for these self-centred misfits who minimise rape for their own advantage, but you will never see this because minimising the man is totally acceptable to them.

For the rest of us average minions living in this age of equality, is it time we looked at a specific offence for false accusations of rape?

  1. I agree, except for one thing. I don’t accept ‘rape culture’ exists as a premise. There I think a terribly wrong misandric impression is given.

  4. A relative of one of my in laws spent 2 years in Rangipo prison because of a false accusation of violence from his ex partner and it ruined his life. She’s a nut case and apparently has tried it again since then – but has never suffered any consequences.
Many people out there including many in the “hold them accountable and make them pay” brigade have a deliberate blind spot where “poor defenceless women” are concerned.

  5. @Daniel – Did he fight the charges or plead guilty (like many men do) just to get it over and done with?

  6. I don’t know about the UK law but the maximum punishment for perjury in NZ is doubled from 7 to 14 (maximum) years if the perjury is committed to procure a conviction that would send the accused to jail for more than 3 years.

    Act is here. http://www.legislation.govt.nz/act/public/1961/0043/latest/DLM328796.html

    109 Punishment of perjury

    (1) Except as provided in subsection (2), everyone is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 7 years who commits perjury.

    (2) If perjury is committed in order to procure the conviction of a person for any offence for which the maximum punishment is not less than 3 years’ imprisonment, the punishment may be imprisonment for a term not exceeding 14 years.

I have always wondered why the police don’t charge false accusers of rape under section 109(2) of the crimes act 1961 when in early evidence or trial it comes out ‘it could not of have happened because the detailed unchangeable fact the man was not there’ or other facts like DNA or she confesses to making it up.

A selective approach to justice by the NZ police not to pursue these revolting wicked woman I suspect.

I would support a fund to privately prosecute when the police won’t. Trouble is its expensive. It could only be done collectively. Maybe the Maybe the MOMA could set it up.

  8. #4 He fought the charges I believe but his past wasn’t squeaky clean (no violence though), add to that a lack of money for an expensive lawyer and being in a man vs woman situation he didn’t really stand a chance.

  9. In a Just and Fair Society it would be obligatory for the Police (bullies & perverts) to prosecute the complainant and compensate the accused if they were found not guilty or charges dropped at the 11th hour!
