The Red Pill – Wellington Screening, Let’s make it happen!
If you are near Wellington and interested in seeing this important newly released feature documentary film exploring the Men’s Human Rights Movement, here is your opportunity! Join us Thursday December 8th (open to moving to a Sunday evening if more people prefer) for an inspiring evening at Lighthouse Cinema in Petone.
“When feminist filmmaker Cassie Jaye sets out to document the mysterious and polarizing world of the Men’s Rights Movement, she begins to question her own beliefs.
Jaye had only heard about the Men’s Rights Movement as being a misogynist hate-group aiming to turn back the clock on women’s rights, but when she spends a year filming the leaders and followers within the movement, she learns the various ways men are disadvantaged and discriminated against.”
The crowdfunder page to screen The Red Pill in Wellington has been accepted. Please give generously so Wellington region can get a boost in morale and solidarity to make this world a more compassionate place for boys and men – which will mean a more compassionate place for everyone!
Any donation of $28 or more is your ‘share’ to attend the screening in Petone (this had to get edited from the givealittle page because they can’t be seen to sell tickets), so please message me if December 8th 6:30 doesn’t suit you and you would prefer Sunday 11th.

Actually not sold out at all but the Kino was the subject of a feminist petition so cancelled the screening here .

Great to hear Sonya! I’m having trouble down here in Wellington to be honest. I don’t have much spare time and I am struggling to find people keen to attend. I don’t think people even look at notice boards in shops anymore so I think marketing has to be online or person to person, and I think the only website people look at is facebook! But how to reach people while they are talking about cat pictures or MSM big headline stuff overseas I do not know… For your screening I will certainly message all my friends in Auckland and urge them to see the movie and promote it wherever I can. Down here we have to get some people signing up to the givealittle project or emailing me and saying they want to come to the screening, or we will have to pull the plug. Crazy when Melbourne and London etc are selling out..

Too tired, yes you probably can find it on line or will be able to in the future. However the idea is to get it played publicly and out there for all to have the opportunity to be exposed to wider ideas than those held by existing “powers that be”. Warren and Sonya are doing a service for us all. Would be good if the Wellington event can invite some key movers and shakers and Warren and I have had initial discussion about that.

I would like any suggestions of people of influence or press to invite. I’ve invited 8 MPs thanks to Allan’s suggestions. Who are the sympathetic journalists? People in education, family court, police, film reviewers, DV workers, etc. Any tips appreciated.
