  1. This is the birth control that has the most promise.
    Already proven in trials.

Clearly if a major drug company wants it then it works and is safe.

    Will feminists want it?
    Absolutely not.
They would loose the ability to stitch men up.
In comparison female contraception would be ruled unsafe.
I can imagine the court cases.
Your honor, he told me he was on the pill!
Send him to prison for me.
Help make women feel safe from predators like this man.

    Will governments want it?
    Absolutely not.
Around 40% of pregnancies are unplanned.
If males had an effective pill this would dramatically drop.
Unwanted pregnancy and domestic violence are linked.
So police, lawyers, social services will hate the results of dropping DV.
Also the birth rate will fall below replacement so economists will hate it too.

“Even if larger clinical trials legitimize the pill, the US FDA could force researchers to repeat most of its clinical trials. That could tie up the pill’s potential introduction to the US market for 10 years or more.”
More likely we will be waiting 20 plus years.

  2. It seems to be the case that there are many options for a male pill.
Hopefully a realistic option will be available soon.
