Women Marrying Themselves

Filed under: General — Ministry of Men's Affairs @ 12:04 am Fri 19th May 2017

This trend is quite something. Apparently it’s somehow related to being a feminist, or single, or something.

  4. I’m not a woman, what would I know?

Best consult on this I thought, and the opportunity popped up along with morning tea … to get a girl’s opinion.

We agreed, amongst other things in the coversation, that it probably wasn’t a bloke thing, but I kept nudging for the inside running, and then came the clanger …

“What you don’t understand is that sex for us (women) is psychological and for you (men) it’s physical.

“Oh, right, so, what you’re saying is women can have sex reading a book, but men need to go and have a wank.”

She just smiled and walked away.

How was your smoko this morning?

  5. It is wonderful, isn’t it!
For every story like that, there is one, if not more than one, man saved an awful lot of hassles.
Who takes the house? Legal workers of course. You don’t think that they would lose out in any way, do you? (Being more realistic, probably the house was rented from a lawyer. So if anyone sawed it in half, there would be a lot of trouble!)
It reminds me many years ago, of seeing ‘arrison of the ‘igh caught hassling a father. He is the type of man who should have married himself! It was very funny, apart from worrying for the father. Fortunately, the father came to no harm, that time.
Is this the same thing as MGTOW, just that the men aren’t seeking publicity about it?

  6. A valid news story to bring to this forum.

Back in the day the name was “Spinster”

A term used to indicate an unmarried woman who was past the usual or legal age for marrying (and sometimes also considered unlikely to marry), spinster originally referred to a woman whose occupation was to spin. Several dictionaries flag it as a derogatory term. A synonymous, but more pejorative, term is Old Maid.

The term “marrying yourself” is new to me.

You can change the name, you cant change the outcome.

  7. Women marrying themselves is the best thing since sliced bread.
This category of woman negates a possibility that a guy may have married a loopy one via ‘bait and switch’ .

  8. @7 Derek; I see what you mean; but somehow I suspect such women will still be overly dependent on the male wallet – through tax – benefits – health etc or by the ACC carrot offered to false accusers. I recall the old song “Lemon tree” by Peter Paul and Mary.

  9. Lukenz @6: I liked G.K. Chesterton’s quote at the end of the video: “Feminism is mixed up with the muddled idea that women are free when they serve their employers but slaves when they help their husbands”. That must have been the belief of Helen Clark and her lot in their systematic demolition of family.

  10. Free to be prostitutes, but need freedom from their husbands?
We can try to live with our head in the clouds and try to get other people to respect our delusions, but in the end, often reality does bite….
Some have it hard and some have it pretty “good”…
It is hard to have a theory of life, that encompasses all of the options honestly.
