The Life and Times of Clarke Gayford
Jacinda Adern is our 3rd female Prime Minister, however what is substantially different is the public inclusion of her partner (Clarke Gayford) by comparison to the husbands of her predecessors Jenny Shipley and Helen Clark.
With the presence of social media it has been much easier for Gayford to put his political oar to the airwaves and this may be taken by the media as an invitation to publicly dissect him.
While Gayford had his own visible career prior to the 2017 election campaign and subsequent political pregnancy the couple may now be exposed to Gayford’s maleness according to Feminist media.
Would you like to be in his shoes?
Might he have been better to stay quietly in the background?
Has he been forced into the politicaly charged life of their expected child regardless?
I expect there will be some interesting news around this.

I thought this was interesting.
It is a statement to media outlets who have been involved in publishing false information about Gayford.
I couldn’t help but relate this women with their cheap and nasty lawyers publishing bullshit in the Family Court.
Karma came to get Jacinda and suddenly this is not okay?

Would that all victims of false allegations be equally treated. Seems an advantage to have an MP as a significant other. An in addition, “Innocent until proven guilty” only applies in that demographic too.

And then the Police Commissioner makes an extraordinary exception by giving this guy a reference.
Not that we’re down on blokes here, but this is a bit fishy isn’t it.
If a policeman can’t get a reference from his employer how does an MPs partner get one?

What changed the political landscape here surely goes back to the pregnant primeminister?
If there had been no pregnancy the political life or not would have been a different set of choices and a more manageable outcome as has been the case with previous leaders.
What’s disappointing is that according to the PM his views are his own and he can say what he likes but he can’t stand up and speak for his own credibility.
The idea of the current Police Commissioner defending Gayford’s credibility is about as smart as making an ill conceived speech at Inspector Hutton’s funeral.
Not doing a lot for the credibility of male leadership around the country.
