Young Men, Mature Ladies..,,the trouble with it…

We talk about the lack of marrying kind gals,,, and there does seem to be a lack of them in my area of South Auckland, at least for the young men I know, two of my sons best friends, another friend in common, my own son and two of my nephews whom live in the sunny BOP. All of them have had relationships with older women.

The pitfalls I have heard about are varied and no doubt the advantages too.

Its sure seems a big ask for a young man to all of a sudden be dealing with adult children of this older woman, sometimes a young child or two as well an awl..

It also seems a big ask for him to be living in her circumstances, often her home and her already organised life. He can fit in , but he will never be financially connected. It is not like, ” hey, you want to buy a house together?”..she is often house secure, he will never get this chance, so what are the advantages???

Oh, I know, one advantage, He can leave any time he likes….
and if one of the babies is his, that’s okay, he will pay and she will receive, certainly no risk factor there, for her..

  1. Yes, bumped into a young fellow the other day, may not have been the sharpest tool in the shed but probably good enough in bed until she didn’t want him.

Given he wasn’t up by 10 am and pissed by 5 pm it probably hadn’t been the most positive encounter of his life.

  3. Possibly, but that aside, the unexpected shock, ridicule, embarrassments, failure perhaps, moving house.

Wouldn’t put the older woman scenario down to the greatest way to develop manhood.

  4. I’ve watched some individuals go down the social experiment track.

One is particularly from marriage to separation to new partner to toy boy to lesbian partner and three kids on the independent youth allowance by 16.

I’m not sure how ‘PUNA’ would write that up as a success story but they would find a way.

  5. Ha, to swell up = “Puna”..well STUFF me, why not, as in exaggerate..

Well back to subject, I find it creepy, I really dislike Our Young Men going down this track, somewhat mortifying for them to think this is all they are left to…

A terrible example of this scenario may unfold to be the back story to the terrible tragedy in western Aus. the other day, he was all of 24 and she 41, they had three wee kids and I can not imagine the stress this young man may have been dealing with, if it was a case of temporary insanity, I hope he gets to get a good lawyer, living with himself will be the hard part.
