Matt King finished the evening by bringing the speakers together for a Q and A session. Smith was asked for her thoughts on Education and advocated for greater parental involvement, back to basics on numeracy and literacy, and better trades training for the boys.

Why is it, we set low expectations for boys.
Why is the expectation, not University.
Better trades training, may be a good thing.
But isn’t it accepting failure, of there education.
The boys not expected, to get degrees.
It’s certainly the goal, for girls to get to university.
And for some reason, they far outnumber boys.
Is it also stereotyping, the boys do trades.
We need them to work, while the girls push pens.
They stereotype intellect, in there definition of boys.
The girls smarter, the boys just tradesmen.
Is this what politicians see as progress, for men.

I think you’ve got that slightly wrong.
Certainly there is stereotyping that girls should have further education and feminism provides endless fuzzy qualifications.
The education system has been failing boys for decades and now we’ve reached the point of out of control youth gangs becoming social vandals and thugs.
On a needs basis both for young men and for society we need to rectify that and even though a few girls will want to be tradies it wouldn’t be popular because it’s not what girls want.
I think it’s the right answer but needs to be seen in a sensible perspective.

Politics has certainly arrived, for this woman.
It asks politics, what is it banning.
It’s not as if we are at war, so why take action.

What are the politicians saying, about the right to fundraise.
Of the many wars, who’s side are we on.
Can we fundraise for one, but not the other.
Where is this list, of sides we are on.
Can we fundraise for this party, but not that party.
One party supporting Russia, the rest of politics Ukraine.
Will they block her internet, censorship forced on her.
Why not then all the other wars, each party with a list.
Think it would not happen in politics, think Trump and Twitter.
Trump was the most politicly assassinated person, as you can get.
Yet I’m guessing like this women’s opinion, his politics survives.
Should we demand of politicians, there full lists of what’s legal.
What of the supporters, the donators hunted down.
It seems we should be careful, about the list.
Maybe it’s better, to not take sides.
How many wars do you suddenly support, taking sides.
Is politicians picking a side, itself like an act of war.

So what is the plan, to solve our problems.
Is National offering better things, or just a different version.
The voter stuck again, with few choices.
Labour the unlucky party, carrying the economic ball.
The global economy, was hardly made by them.
There only flaw, overspending adding to inflation.
Maybe like everyone else, just as guilty of money printing.
But I doubt National, would have done better.
This poll is no good news, but a warning.
If you know you will lose, what will you do.
Will you rush changes, ticking ideological boxes.
Changing as much as possible, before losing power.
What’s coming before the end, of this government.
All is not lost, as the election is distant.
Labour could surprise us, with new and good policy.
National could disappoint us, with more of the same.
For issues for men, I doubt little will be offered.
It would be a brave party, to have a men’s policy.
I can see it now, the crime and punishment portfolio.
