OK so you might recall I posted a video on an Australian senator inquiry into and review of the family law and courts in OZ. There were 29 submissions.
This is just a follow up on what happened to that inquiry.

Lee Derrickson reports
1. The government removed all the tragic personal stories.
2. An election came along and it was shelved.
3. He thinks if labour get into power, (and they did) nothing will be done about the recommendations.
If Australian figures are three per day, that’s 1,000 per year.
They are five times larger, so our figure is about 200.
Pretty much, what our statistics indicate.
Compared to our road toll, with about 150 extra male deaths.
“A Herald analysis of government road death data shows male drivers clock up 50 per cent more kilometres in a year than women, but men die behind the wheel 250 per cent more often than female drivers.”
To stop the road toll, we campaign against the problem.
We recognise male dangerous driving, is a problem.
When we see it, the legal system intervenes.
It gives tickets, and prosecutes.
But we do nothing, with the problem of men’s suicide.
With driving, you can prosecute the male.
With suicide, how can the male be the problem.
Everyone pretends, the problem doesn’t exist.
Like musical chairs, avoiding being blamed.
The police can’t answer, the police safety order suicide rate.
Dare not ask such obvious questions, about those involved.
I doubt in a suicide case, they are ever questioned.
The case not intimately examined, exposing bad police decisions.
The female more violent, her offences ignored for bigoted policy.
The police actions, all the suicide victim can take.
Everything happening, is ruining his life.

May it please the court.
In family court he was ordered not to see his children, lost his home he owned outright and every item in it. He now pays his X to live in his home along with her boyfriend, raising his kids. He has to pay child support. He committed suicide.
In the criminal court, he was charged with an unsubstantiated sex allegation from 30 years ago. His name was in the media, he lost his job, he became unemployable, he lost his friends, he had to pay a lawyer all his savings, he lost his home he could no longer afford, he was found not guilty. He had nothing left. He was too old to start over again. He committed suicide.
Always wondered what the words “May it please the court” meaning was all about.

I’m to old to start again, if they try to bankrupt me.
And in reality, have little now.
I guess life will make me work, until I die.
Paying for things, forced on me.
In my books story, there’s still a year to go.
I have no idea the outcome, but things look good.
Not for me in real life, but the books plot is.
