From ONE News

Green MP Efeso Collins, 49, has died after collapsing at a charity event this morning.

Emergency services rushed to treat the first-term MP after he collapsed.

He was participating in a charity event for ChildFund in Auckland’s Britomart when the incident occurred.

Staff at the scene were visibly emotional and crying as medical work appeared to stop on Collins.

An organiser told 1News he had died.

The event, featuring high-profile Kiwis including Hilary Barry and MC Matty McLean, aimed to raise awareness and money “to bring safe, clean drinking water to children in the Pacific.”

Not having followed the fortunes of Collins whilst being busy with other issues. I’ve only just read that he was Samoan but did know he had gravitated from Labour to the Greens.

The immediate question though is, why another younger man has just dropped dead? It’s becoming all too common these days and although it isn’t men alone it appears to be more males than females.

The question will be asked: Was he vaccinated?

The issue is more hotly debated across the Tasman than in New Zealand. That is obviously because Australia doesn’t have the same relationship with New Zealand that Pfizer does.

This has been visible again this week in social media and this sudden death is undoubtedly not the blunt instrument the campaign was hoping for but it was a deliberate campaign that appeared to be competing against the Australian narrative if not other media.

In that respect I think it’s a relevant, fair and reasonable question to ask: one our politicians need to address now (whether they wanted to or not) as the issue has surfaced within parliament and with one of their own which has been the basis of much of the pandemic decision making.

ACT and NZ First went as far this week as a voice for a new pandemic inquiry in the face of the Court of Appeal mandate decision last Friday.

That hasn’t been in the news very much and I watched with intetest as it was actively censored out of at least one Facebook group.

Perhaps this is another reality within our New Normal we need to accept.

  2. That’s an assumption, people have always died.
His age is actually normal, for natural occurring deaths.
Not knowing the real cause, is blaming vaccines fair.
I read the link to the research, there was a small increase in deaths.
So the cause may be the vaccine, but it could be natural.

I would much rather say nice things, about this person.
He did what many won’t do, he went and did things.
Got off the couch and tried to be good, who can fault that.
It’s a big commitment, to live a politicians life.
He even died trying to help others, a far better end than most.

  3. In New Zealand we have patients returning to specialist care and that is attributed to vaccine related affects.

The total denial is the issue, and some honesty may have saved his life.

If the lack of honestly needs to be defended with a biased narrative then speculation is not only fair but essential because it could affect other people.

  4. For most of us, we ended up vaccinating ourselves.
Nobody was taken, and jabbed without consent.
Maybe I am wrong, resthomes an example.
There was a period of paranoia, the unvaccinated are dangerous.
They made you feel bad, if you didn’t comply.
My own experience, resulted from workplace pressure.
So for many, they were not really consenting.
The arguments about Covid now, are different than at the time.

90% went and did something, without knowing the result.
Maybe the vaccine saved there life, statistically those people exist.
They got Covid becoming ill, but they didn’t get very ill.
Maybe that’s me and I don’t even know it, I’ve never bothered testing.
But actually I was not informed, what are the long term risks.
We argue now with some statistics, there is actually a problem.
Does the risk of that problem, decrease or increase over time.
One is phew, we dodged a bullet.
The other maybe oh no, 90% of us have a new problem.

I listen to the radio, they were advertising on the subject of Covid.
There is a level of democracy, you could make submissions.
I hope there is well studied people, with important opinions.
It is inevitable over time, how do we respond to the next disease.
With billions of people, evolution has billions of hosts.
Anything that’s normal now, could be devastating tomorrow.
Billions each with countless bugs, bad evolution is inevitable.

Let’s just hope next time, it wasn’t made in a lab.

  5. All I did was reverse the media strategy and apply it to harm rather than an invisible threat.

Ask yourself why you didn’t see that.

NZ supplied vaccines to parts of the Pacific, Tokelau in particular knowing that residents were mandated to be vaccinated.

Only a handful managed to resist that under house arrest on two of the three Atolls.

The miscarriages and deaths haven’t been acknowledged outside of Tokelau.
