The White Fibbin’ Anti Male Propaganda Campaign
Misguided men continue to be hoodwinked into supporting this discriminatory campaign. Note the trickery where this campaign that cares only about women and demonizes only men, refers to itself as “inspiring and equipping men to help stop violence in their communities” and “this Hui effectively engaged men, educating and inspiring them about violence”. So these white knights are redefining ‘communities’ as consisting of women as the only significant members and redefining ‘violence’ as something done only when it’s against women.
Feel free to provide some feedback to [email protected] but be aware that these arrogant ideologues have absolutely no interest in discussing the issues and will soon block anyone who dares to raise any concerns about their divisive, discriminatory, misandrist hate campaign.
WHITE RIBBON NEWSLETTER – OCTOBER
Kia oratatou, welcome to the October issue of the White Ribbon Newsletter. We are very excited about what will be another excellent White Ribbon Campaign. In this newsletter we take a brief look at some of the main events and how you can participate. The White Ribbon Shop is now open so you can order your merchandise and collateral now. In the last newsletter we asked readers to pick one of two t-shirt designs. This proved so popular that we’ve decided to make both available.
The White Ribbon Ride (now in its 6th year) is coming together nicely, though we still need event organisers in certain parts of the country. For more information about how you can be involved read on. Thank you for your continued support.

White Ribbon Committee ChairWALK A MILE IN HER SHOES
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes ®
This year sees White Ribbon roll out the global event Walk a Mile In Her Shoes ®.
The Walk a Mile was established in 2001 by Frank Braid in America, starting from a humble handful of men, to the global initiative of today. This event allows men within various communities and societies to raise awareness of the violence that woman suffer.
The mile walk consists of two unique components, the physical walk where men are expected to wear heels; and the opportunity to highlight and discuss the issue and ramifications of sexual, physical and emotional abuse toward women.
If you want to run an event, download the:TAKE THE PLEDGE
As with last year we want men to not only take part in the events throughout NZ, we want them to Take the Pledge (to never commit condone or remain silent about violence towards women). For this aspect of the campaign to take hold, we need all organisers to make sure The Pledge is built into their events. Get men to sign up, get them to say The Pledge out loud, sign them up on our website here.WHITE RIBBON SHOP
If you want to order any of our resources click here. This year resources are being distributed from Auckland and there is a postage and handling fee. All resources will be delivered in October. To order you need to use our webpage hosted on Shopify. This page uses Paypal which requires a credit card, or alternatively an invoice is created when you order, and automatically emailed to you. Upon payment, your order will be processed.
This year we have a fantastic array of products on offer for supporters of White Ribbon including White Ribbon Posters, Ride Posters, Cloth Ribbons, Metal Ribbons, T-shirts (two designs), Window Sticker, Tattoo, Balloons, Cufflinks and Wristbands.WHITE RIBBON EVENTS
With White Ribbon Month coming up shortly, events are being organised throughout the country to provide an interactive and educating message for all New Zealanders. Please order your White Ribbon resources to support your event, and please load event details onto our website here. If you need a ready-made event, please look at the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® event here.THE WHITE RIBBON RIDE
The excitement and noise that the White Ribbon Ride never ceases to amaze the public, while the stories from the riders captivate the attention of any audience.
To find out where the ride is going this year, click here and download the draft schedules.
Where the ride has a TBC, that event is still being confirmed or we have yet to find someone to take on the task of organising the event. If you’re keen to host the ride, check out the schedule and you might be able to help. Please contact us.NATIONAL HUI
The National Hui for working men to end violence took place over the 12-14 September inspiring and equipping men to help stop violence in their communities. With an excellent line-up of speakers, outdoor activities, and hands-on workshops this Hui effectively engaged men, educating and inspiring them about violence. For further information click here.
Was it just coincidence that Tauawhi Hui was held on the same date, or are these events one and the same?
Comment by Downunder — Sat 4th October 2014 @ 8:19 am
Would you look at that. White Ribbon Men’s Hui:
Looks like White Ribbon is reducing itself to a Maori problem.
So, the Tauawhi Men’s Centre Post is actually White Ribbon in disguise.

So just how are they going to ever end violence when they don’t even bother acknowledging at least 50 % of it against males and solely blame men ? which as anyone that has been on the end of a violence ex partner that got away with it completely, will tell you its much more common that people realise.
That’s almost retarded to say the least ?
Comment by Dominic da Silva — Mon 6th October 2014 @ 10:16 am
Quite right Dominic. But remember, White Fibbin’ isn’t a ‘partner violence’ or a ‘family violence’ campaign. It is a campaign against all violence against women (in their opinion that being the only form of violence worth caring about). Comparing ‘all violence’, the fact is that men are much more often the victims of violence in society overall, from murder to manslaughter to muggings to beatings-up for the fun of it. This makes White Fibbin’ even more unacceptable because it seeks special privilege for the group that needs such a campaign less while ignoring the group that needs it more.
It’s a bit like starting a campaign that said “Show you’re against poverty for the royal family, their friends, lords and dames”.

Boshier is a failed judge ejected from the Family Court for his failed management; now it seems the only place he can sell his message is to Maori.
Hopefully they wake up to this sooner rather than later.

And notice their event ‘Walk a mile in her shoes’ in which men walk in high-heeled shoes! Is this meant to be a sympathy gesture based on some claim that women are forced by patriarchy to wear silly shoes?
It seems a sad, confused ideology that believes empathetic insight will come from men trying to walk a mile in high heels that they have never practised wearing before and they wouldn’t be so stupid as to wear anyway.
What would produce a real honest empathetic epiphany would be if a group of women tried to walk a mile in men’s shoes. How about a mile down a mine shaft or a mile down a sewer? Or a mile lifting heavy loads around the top floor of a multi-storey building site. Or a mile around the deck of a fishing boat gathering in nets and pulling fish from those nets in heavy seas. Or how about women dressing to look like men and walking solo through Auckland central streets very late at night.

Unfortunately, no one seems to be actually doing anything constructive about it. That’s why it’s really successful in ‘hoodwinking’ so many people. There is no genuine attempt out there to disseminate the reality, therefore most men who get involved don’t even think about what they’re doing when they support this campaign. Easier to go with the flow. I’ve spent the last year a) hunting for information that just can’t be found, and b) looking for people who actually give a damn about anything but their own biases. There is no organised unbiased opposition, organised being the most important part. When you learn to fight them using their own strategies, you will win given enough time and a large dollop of sheer bloodyminded persistence. NZ is a very small country, and easily led – there’s a reason we were the first to get women voting. We could be the first to give dirty feminism a good kick in it’s arse too, with a good strategy. But sitting in a quiet corner and grizzling about it will accomplish absolutely nothing at all. Where is the Black Ribbon Campaign???
Comment by Rachel — Mon 6th October 2014 @ 6:16 pm
Here’s a good link from the Guardian – a feminist columnist complaining about a men-only conference on gender equality. It’s a nice little insight into why we’ll never have a black ribbon campaign and why the Glen inquiry failed.
Prepare to laugh out loud…

Ironic
The whole article was about women not having a voice.
Some examples where men don’t get a say. Or if they do, by indoctrinated and trained puppets.
Federation of business and professional women’s clubs.
National council of women.
NZ federation of women’s institutes.
National advisory council on the employment of women.
New horizon’s for women trust.
Rural women NZ
WRAP, women’s rights and advocacy in the pacific.
Wellington women lawyers association.
NZ family violence clearing house.
Women’s health action trust.
UN programme on women.
Zonta NZ
NZ federation of university women
Society for research on women.
Maori women’s welfare league.
Women against pornography.
Women against violence.
Women for sobriety.
National association for women in construction.
ETC ETC
There are of course the main sexual offending bigots.
Ministry of women’s affair’s.
National collective of independent women’s refuges.
The children’s commission.
The human rights commission.
The police.
The ministry of justice.
And most importantly, the most silent and bigoted of all.
The government.
Which has no male voice at all.

@ Daniel and The man in Absentia.
I’ve missed your point (not intentionally, I promise). How does this show why men will never be able to organise a campaign to raise awareness of issues as they are relevant to men? And why do you feel that you should have a right to have a say in groups that are organised to present only women’s versions of things? Why not present your own in the same way? Would that not work equally well if you were just as organised as well structured as they have shown themselves to be?
Comment by Rachel — Tue 7th October 2014 @ 7:11 pm
The conference in question was assailed by various women’s interest groups until they were more or less forced to accept women speakers. There are good reasons why men should be allowed to discuss issues like gender equality without the pressure to conform to someone else’s imposed views on the subject imo.
My point and the point of many comments in that link is that these women’s interest groups will always try to shout down any men’s groups which they see as a threat to the view of the world which they have managed to build up over the years in the public mind, and certainly the author of the piece appeared to be seeking dominance rather than equality.
You lost me when you said I wanted a say in women’s groups I’m afraid, I said nothing of the sort.

Rachel, you said
and
A quick inspection of this page will discover an advertisement for a Black Ribbon Campaign, and a quick look through the last few years’ posts will show that a group of people have gone out each year on to the streets of a number of cities pointing out the destructive and misleading nature of White Ribbon and promoting the Black Ribbon Campaign as a better alternative.
The White Fibbin’ Campaign receives money and support from government ministries. This enables them to be ‘organised and well structured’ as you point out, to produce thousands of large posters, to buy advertising space in bus shelters and so forth. The government backing provides them with credibility that helps them to attract donations by manipulating the public. Government departments including DHBs, Courts, CYFS, Work and Income are required or at least pressured to display the White Fibbin’ posters and push their propaganda.
The Black Ribbon Campaign has no such funding or moral support from government and would not receive it because only feminist concerns are seen as important. The public will donate when manipulated by stories and pictures of abused females, but there is little similar sympathy for men (due largely to deeply ingrained sexist attitudes of the ‘women and children first’ variety, now perpetuated by feminist propaganda and hate speech). No government department would dare to display Black Ribbon posters in opposition to the White Fibbin’ propaganda, even if the Black Ribbon campaigners could afford to have such posters printed. Black Ribbon Campaigners, and indeed those concerned with men’s issues generally, are left to influence public opinion through expressing views truthfully and sensibly in as many contexts as possible, for most during the time left to them after they have slogged away to pay each week’s so-called ‘child support’.

Years ago, maybe the mid-90s, there was some anti-domestic violence march down Queen St. All well and good, but it got promoted as a ‘men’s march of shame’ or something.
I was all for the cause, but the way male participation was linked to accepting collective blame just seemed very wrong. When protesting other problems (e.g. the environment) organizers don’t normally make participation dependent on attendees pouring ashes over themselves. Environmental protesters usually hold signs saying ‘Save the Planet’ not ‘I’m sorry for being a resource gobbler’. Of course the latter message is fine, but it should be an individual choice, not a condition of participation.
I voiced my doubts about this at the time and just copped a load of abuse.

Good timing to get the extreme, of the White Night.
A male leaping to a woman’s defence, at the smallest slight.
https://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/film/300552267/will-smith-socking-chris-rock-might-not-even-be-the-most-shocking-thing-thats-ever-happened-at-the-oscars
There is a tiny chance it’s acting, but extremely good acting.
Anyway what happened, is a crime.
And look at how humans reacted, to the White Night.
There was no arrest, or venue expulsion.
Violence vindicated, by culture.
Would have humans intervened, if it was just male assaults male.
Clearly that’s all, that’s happened.
No woman was actually harmed, or assaulted on stage.
And culture demands, of the male.
The victim takes it, like a man.
The slanderer, vanquished for honour.
All it caused for me, was the emotion of sadness.

And if the joke had been said by a female comedian – all hell would have broken loose. Violence should never be condoned.

The question becomes, how much is biology acting on events.
My partner thinks it’s sexy, that he came to his partners defence.
She used the word, chivalry.
Part of the public will not accept, him not being prosecuted.
Why can the famous commit a crime, but they cannot.
It’s not like we don’t have proof, of events.
So why then, does my partners opposite view exist.
I use the terms, patriarchal and matriarchal judgement.
We have male assaults male, in defence of a female.
Matriarchal judgement, is that it’s hot and sexy.
If he becomes the females partner, he will be a good protector.
I can only guess the dreams my partner has, of Will Smith.
Patriarchal judgement, is how he ranks amongst men.
Being violent, means he’s unpredictable and dangerous.
My guess is more men, will lower there opinion of him.
What then of these, scenarios.
Male assaults a female, defending a female.
Male assaults a female, defending a male.
Male assaults a male, defending a male.
Female assaults a female, defending a female.
Female assaults a male, defending a female.
Female assaults a male, defending a male.
Female assaults a female, defending a male.
If you replayed each scenario, with different actors.
How then would society respond, to the crime.
Which ones on the list, does your biology accept.
Certainly, for some we have found at least one.
Comment by DJ Ward — Tue 29th March 2022 @ 6:33 pm
I have heard the term, toxic masculinity used to describe the event.
It is not unreasonable, to come to use that term.
What message of right and wrong, are our youth absorbing.
Are they in a house, where Will Smith is celebrated.
The man of the house, proudly saying he would do the same.
The women lamenting, there mans not the same.
Or is the violence, rejected arbitrarily.
What have humans become for Will Smith, to decide to act.
Biology alone, cannot be blamed for the event.
So it is culture, for the parent to support the crime.
Passed on, in the behaviours of children.
Any moment now, a girl will expect the boy to act.
Tragedy then follows, the boys life ruined by a crime.
The girl with her baby daddy, in prison for life.
Her the innocent party, him the toxic male persecuted.
…………………
Toxic masculinity, certainly exists.
Every nations people, will have different results to #20.
Afghanistan, is not NZ as an example.
A man slapping a woman in NZ, is taboo.
While in Afghanistan, far worse is done.
