   Sex with students is always morally wrong, and a fundamental breach of trust. However, research shows that women receive more lenient treatment from the courts. It is just a scam

   It is not just the breach of trust in the student teacher relationship. It is very damaging to the school itself.

   It is, I’ve been told first hand, a devastating and embarrassing experience for a principal to have to deal with, and it puts the other teachers on the back foot with the students.

   It is not something new. In the 1970s these women would have been dealt with behind closed doors, and moved on either, to another school, or out the door depending on the circumstances.

   What has changed is the manner in which it is dealt with, and the public naming and shaming.

   It would be interesting to see the statistics on the rate of offending, and how much they have increased.

   To me this goes hand and hand with the recent ‘Gay Marriage’ debate on this site, where I made the point that we’ve shifted the emphasis in society from reproduction to sex.

   to me the teacher shouldnt have encouraged a relationship. but also the relationship was between two legal aged people,which if it hadnt happened at school would have been perfectly ok.

   Invariably these links seem to disappear but to my surprise the item in this post can be accessed. Below is the more recent text referred to in the previous comment.

   A teacher who had sex with one of her students last year is guilty of serious misconduct and can no longer teach, the Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal says.

   The teacher and student were at Hastings Boys’ High School.

   The tribunal said the woman taught English at a boys’ school and had a sexual relationship with one of her Year 12 students, then aged 16.

   It said the school’s principal discovered the relationship when he received screen-shots of text messages between the pair in June last year.

   “The principal met with Teacher E the same day, showed her the texts and outlined his concern that the respondent and Student A were in a sexual relationship. Teacher E admitted that she had been in a sexual relationship with Student A, that she was “stupid” and that she “had let everyone down,” the tribunal’s report said.

   Later that day the student also confirmed the relationship.

   The tribunal’s finding says the teacher was immediately stood down and the school made a mandatory report to the Education Council.

   The teacher agreed not to teach while the complaint was investigated and later resigned.

   “She candidly admitted the nature of her relationship with Student A and did not resist the conclusion that cancellation of her registration to teach is inevitable,” the report said.

   The tribunal said teachers having sex with a student at the school in which they teach is serious misconduct at a high level.

   It cancelled the woman’s teacher registration and ordered her to pay costs of $2226.

   The tribunal suppressed the names of the woman and the student. However, it did not suppress the name of the school, Hasting Boys’ High School, because it had already been named in media coverage when the case first came to light.

   I have found myself writing things.
   Then deleting what is written.
   At least 4 arguments.
   Including this one, sexual abuse of youth.
   Which was quite complex.

   Sorry for doing that.

   I have worked out why.
   Because I know at some point.
   Someone will ask me a question.
   And expect me to speak.
   Having the answers written already.
   Will help.

   Also went to my doctor.
   My partner wanted to talk about my medication.
   Because of the Christmas period.
   Bit of conflict with that discussion.
   But I trust my doctor.
   And he knows I am honest with him.
   So everything going good.
   And my partner has some peace of mind.

   Today I saw the lake.
   And it made me sad.
   As it’s not healthy.
   Deep brown, pink.
   So we stopped at a lookout spot.
   My daughter randomly said.
   “God made the lake”
   I think god would plead, not guilty.
   And point his finger at the humans.

   Tomorrow I go to a children’s party.
   As a family.
   I have also talked to my older son.
   Who has been absent for to long.
   And repaired most issues.
   And my father and I talked, which is rare.
   And I will stay at my brothers for a night.

   So although not everything is going well.
   And have moments of sadness.
   I have family on valentines.
   And can relax, and have a few laughs.
   My partner and I are getting on much better.
   A healthy relationship again, with positive thoughts.
   Far from perfect, but improving.
   So happy thoughts, for a few days.

   Your going to hell.

   Try calling to an angel.
   But an echo in your cell.
   Concrete walls it’s barrier.
   Counting down the days.

   Deaf ears in the dungeon.
   Society’s not awake.
   Blinded in the darkness.
   The devil awaits.

   But you know the answer.
   Try calling an angel.
   Maybe someone will hear.
   Silent screams of innocence.

   But they will not hear.
   Save those to tie you down.
   Hearing an echo of an angel.
   When time goes.

   That was written after watching an Oprah Winfrey show on the execution of innocent.

    An interesting thing happened today.
    We have a pet bunny.
    Which is outside in a cage.
    It is my daughters.
    Sitting on top of it was a kingfisher.
    Easily one of my favourite birds.
    So I walked over and picked it up.
    It wasn’t healthy to let me do that.
    So it’s the first time it’s happened to me.
    After showing my partner.
    I returned it to a tree.
    Nature will make its decision.
    Unfortunately my dog tried to help.
    Unknowingly to me it disturbed the cage.
    The bunny has escaped.
    Haven’t plucked up the courage.
    To tell my daughter.
