A four-year-old boy made the mistake of hugged his female aide to his teacher and was put into in-school suspension, according to the father. But La Vega school administrators have a very different story. Mr. Blackwell’s four-year-old son was lining-up to get on the bus after school last month, when he was accused of rubbing his face in the chest of a female employee. What on God’s green earth was the boy thinking!!!

The principal of La Vega Primary School sent a letter to the Blackwells that said the pre-kindergartener demonstrated “inappropriate physical behavior interpreted as sexual contact and/or sexual harassment.” What the ….?

Blackwell says it’s ridiculous that the aide would misread a hug from a four-year-old. Blackwell wrote to administrators demanding that the whole incident be expunged from his son’s academic file because his son is too young to know what it means to act sexually.

The sexual references on the discipline referral were later removed. But the thing that makes Blackwell most upset is they told him “your request for an apology by the aide and removal of all paperwork regarding this incident is denied.” Now the young student’s file will refer to the incident as “inappropriate physical contact.” We have now entered into the new twilight zone of adult female teachers being protected from 4-year-old boys’ hugs!

  1. 30 years on…..Father to his son on the first day of school……

Son promise me not to things I have done. What ever you do, don’t wipe your nose of the teachers sweatshirt.

  2. Now there’s a thought! C’mon guys, a brilliant and untapped opportunity here.
Most primary school / pre-school teachers are female (something like 80% and 99% repectively)
Roughly 50% of all pupils are male (or slightly less – some boys aren’t even bothering to face the world, leading to an imbalance of females).

Women teachers tend to be more affectionate and liberal with physical interactions with children than those few male teachers still braving it out there in teacher-la-la land.

Every time a woman teacher hugs you, puts her arm around you, holds you hand, etc, *viola* one allegation of sexual harrassment, or alternatively, grooming for sexual abuse.
