To kill a Journalist
We’ve seen numerous journalists cancelled recently and they tend to be mostly male. Once again I make the point that men’s issues are inclined to be ‘mostly’ rather than entirely male these days.
The journalists that have been cancelled are the ones who haven’t been afraid to speak out, often in criticism of the government, as is the case with Peter Wiilliams who had a disagreement with Finance Minister Grant Robertson on ideological rather than economic grounds.
Industry journalists in New Zealand media are increasingly restricted to a journalistic code dictated by government demands rather than professional standards. It’s an important distinction that has for the better part of two decades, seen journalists professional or otherwise, driven underground or overseas in greater numbers.
Unlike overseas where we have a high incidence of work related deaths (which tend to be deliberate rather than accidental) in this country we operate on obtaining compliance and various degrees of intimidation or persecution.
(Sadly an intimidation industry is a growing part of our country’s political failure and culture)
What we see today, is a clear demarcation now between a government funded industry (with that journalistic code) and democratic journalism existing in a somewhat liberated state, generally on social media and within new media, rather than alongside or in direct competition to our mainstream.
The ensuing downside is that this alternative industry (regardless of gender) operates generally without professional accountability and includes various degrees of activism, or sectorvism (I may have just coined that phrase) from some individuals or organisations.
We have at the moment and with somewhat vague details presently available, the case of Graham Philip, an amateur journalist from Taupo, who has been on remand and seemingly without charge since late last year. This I would suggest wouldn’t be happening if it were a female in a comparible situation.
Graham Philip, since the situation was exposed by Counterspin Media, now has a bail application before the Taupo High Court, next week, and is represented by Mathew Hague, the lawyer who has been so successful in securing the mandate outcomes against the government health order.
I look forward to some clarification of Philip’s situation. Media or Political, no man in NZ should be exposed to these suggested extremes and if so, what are the freedom limitating justifications we ‘men’ now live with?
Coming back to the example of Peter Wiilliams, it has to be said, that Williams (perhaps without realising) is doing some of the most important work of his career, in helping an audience understand what it is they have, before it is gone.

This is unusual, it terms of trying to kill something.
It’s just words, but somehow people got hurt feelings.
Doing an extreme act, that I can’t support.
https://www.stuff.co.nz/travel/travel-troubles/300635266/americas-stonehenge-destroyed-by-bombing-after-satanic-claims
We can look at the controversy, for ourselves by what it says.
Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
Guide reproduction wisely – improving fitness and diversity.
Unite humanity with a living new language.
Rule passion – faith – tradition – and all things with tempered reason.
Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
Balance personal rights with social duties.
Prize truth – beauty – love – seeking harmony with the infinite.
Be not a cancer on the Earth – Leave room for nature – Leave room for nature.
So there is things to argue about, like population and reproduction.
If anything, it’s thought provoking statements.
I cannot see the reason, for its destruction.
I can imagine journalists, struggling with the subjects.
From the article, as the journalist may have made an error.
“The enigmatic roadside attraction was built in 1980 from local granite, commissioned by an unknown person or group under the pseudonym R.C. Christian.”
From wiki.
“I am the originator of the Georgia Guidestones and the sole author of its inscriptions. I have had the assistance of a number of other American citizens in bringing the monument into being. We have no mysterious purposes or ulterior motives. We seek common sense pathways to a peaceful world, without bias for particular creeds or philosophies.”
— ”Robert Christian” (1986)
So a likely suspect for the madness, is religion possibly with racism.
“God is God all by Himself. He can do ANYTHING He wants to do,” Taylor wrote on social media Wednesday. “That includes striking down Satanic Guidestones.”
Umm, didn’t god guide the person to erect them.
And I’m pretty confident, god (it) is genderless.
See I can use, correct pronouns.
Clearly nothing satanic, is in the statements.
Is stone not, the first media of the journalist.
Telling a story, that many can read.
Trying to change, the readers point of view.
One may not even agree, with the words.
But can religion not cope with the argument, without resorting to scripture.
Go forth and multiply, can still mean a 2.0 birth rate or less responsibly.
Think of all the things we have lost, with time.
Endless things destroyed, statues and monuments even people.
Tablets and scrolls wrecked, books and buildings burned.
All done to silence, or erase other opinion.
What then is the response, to trying to cancel this journalism.
Certainly the stone, can be remade preserving his opinion.
Real journalists, might become jobless discussing the actual subjects.
Or canceled from the mainstream, banished to internet viewer journalism.
Dare not hurt someone’s feelings, with an argument.

A Journalist has an idea, to solve our problems.
https://www.stuff.co.nz/opinion/129453838/two-things-we-should-do-to-make-everyone-better-off
So solution one, is lower business tax.
And solution two, is for everyone to work in IT.
Artificial intelligence, will solve two.
And one is debatable, except for the deficit.
If only life was so easy, to need just two things.
Wealth is a process, starting with a commodity.
Something of value is created, and purchased.
The income is spent, on other commodities.
Some IT, creates imaginary commodities.
So improving wealth, requires more commodities.
Without a person creating a commodity, there is no money.
Does the IT person, really create commodities.
Surely the farmer, makes more.
The money flowing, through society.
Does the business with some IT staff, service farming.
IT will be needed by the farmer, or does IT need the farmer.
If farming is improved, more income is created.
If tourism is improved, more income is created.
If mining is improved, more income is created.
If IT is improved, costs are lower.
If transportation is improved, costs are lower.
If roads are improved, costs are lower.
The flaw is consumerism, destroying the commodity.
To become wealthy, one must invest in something.
You can’t avoid money on food, but you could buy gold.
So changing the % wasted, can increase wealth.
IT would claim, that’s some of what they do.
What % of students, does IT need.
And if they do IT, what are they not doing.
Did we lose a teacher, or a doctor.
Should and can, are different things.

What a world to live in, for the radical thinker.
https://www.stuff.co.nz/world/us-canada/300660942/author-salman-rushdie-stabbed-in-attack-on-stage-in-new-york
Socrates, was killed by humans.
Galileo and Darwin, escaped.
King and Kennedy, with the same fate.
Humans killed Gandhi, and endless others.
How dangerous the world, for Abe even Trump.
Imagine then the world, if humans didn’t kill Jesus.
Maybe decades of genius, was lost and not spoken.
Just as the opposite side, kills the journalist.
How dangerous is it, to confront religion.
I’ve written enough, to be as controversial.
Yet I know I could write, making Rushdie look tame.
It seems free speech, is not always real.

Watch this space as Peter Wiilliams resurfaces with alternative media.
Almost all of this alternative media industry grew out of the 2020 election and expanded following the parliamentary protest.
These social changes are a very rapid development and change will not be immediately obvious to those in social isolation.

Lukenz (@2): Yes, the article you link emphasizes that ‘the majority” of those shot by police were Maori, though for some strange reason (given that the authors had clearly researched all the shootings) the actual numbers are not provided. A difficult-to-interpret statistic is provided regarding force generally used by police against Maori men aged 17 to 40 years. However, there is no mention at all of the fact all those killed by police were men. As you point out, the authors seem deliberately to obfuscate this fact by referring to ‘people’ instead of ‘men’. Hard to understand this. The same happens regarding workplace deaths and serious injuries.
