Jacinda Arderns proposed ‘hate speech’ laws should be a concern for everyone. She says there is a high threshold and gives no examples, but clearly the threshold is very low, such as if a person feels insulted. There are already plenty of laws such as defamation and others against inciting violence that gives people protection
Agreed Frank. The ‘hate speech’ laws are very similar to the Family Court’s Psychological violence weapon.
Kill all men!
We know who said it.
Others even protested her speaking.
It was just in jest, apparently.
A comment from yesterday, could fall foul.
A once normal life, could become persecuted.
But be certain of this.
Along as you take one thing with you.
That your comment was truthful.
Should the judge bow to the truth.
Or a law, with imaginary boundaries.
If the truth be judged.
Hope is then lost, for free speech.
