Census 2023

I’m sure we’ve had debate on previous census and the manner and the structure of questions.

I spotted this comment on social media which has prompted this post:

I like how desperate the census tv ads are begging NZ men to fill in the forms – after shitting endlessly on men, watching officials beg FOR their participation is glorious

Responding to that another commenter said:

Agreed. I’m actively disengaged from a process that doesnt appear interested in serving the average person, and generates data for a bureaucracy that ignores facts and evidence.

What’s your response to the recent census.

The census, is an important thing.
It’s a test, government must take.
    It’s raw data, about society.
So it’s a travesty, for a census to be biased.

Certainly asking women, how many babies they had.
But not asking men, is biased.
    White people, answer this question.
Black people, go to the next question.

Women with three babies, have this education.
They have this income, and this housing.
We don’t know, how many babies men have.
So we know nothing, about fathers.

    Government, can then make policy.
Women with babies, have this happening to them.
Society can make decisions, based on the data.
Nothing happens for men, because there’s no data.

Government tests itself, to get answers it wants.
If the question is not asked, there is no answer.

On Census Day March 7, what gender did you feel like being? And what race did you identify as that day?

Will confidentiality remain for those who, on the question about their sexual orientation, answered “necrophile”?

It’s like any other government process

It’s not interested in men being father’s your just a “cis”man whatever.

Laws are equally as bias. If a man assaults a woman it’s maf. But when it’s the other way round it’s comman assault (if your lucky).

Then family court comes along refusing to believe the woman is violent even when the father has “left”. Must be the father’s fault again.

No survey on this “deadbeat dads” either. Can’t allow the truth been known.

When my ex assaulted me the police said on the day “there’s nothing we can do”. But once she said she said she was assaulted I was put before a judge. Then I went to the police station with a black eye and was told “don’t waste police time”.

Sorry I did go off topic but still proves a point..

Maybe I should put woman as my gender lol after all I do have a child.
