The Government is spending $800,000 to investigate sexual violence after the Treasury calculated the crimes cost the country more than $1 billion a year. Stuff Link Ministry of Women’s Affairs chief executive Shenagh Gleisner said the latest police survey of crime victims showed only 12 per cent of sexual violence victims reported it.
