No doubt all judges will have to use this as precedence when the next woman is charged with a drink driving offence. Pity these no similar reference set for males.

In case I am misunderstood in this post Video and incorrectly labelled by the ‘Lace Curtain’ brigade, let me make one thing clear, I abhor rape and in particular, paedophilia.
40 Years ago Film Director, Roman Polanski, did indeed have intercourse with a 13 year old and committed statutory rape. Rape of any type is disgraceful but more so when a young child is involved. However, that being said, an equal and pernicious act is that of victim-hood.

Coughing fit led to elbow attack, court told.
Crown prosecutor Mr Mcdiarmid told the jury an assault was to touch someone intentionally without their consent, and didn’t need to be hard or cause an injury.
This case will hold an interesting outcome for two reasons:
1. Will a jury view a case, with no injury inflicted and no witnesses to the event, strong enough to convict on?
2. How will the judge direct the jury?
This is a live show touring NZ at the moment.
If I still had young kids, I’d take them along.
Men on Strike – Why Men are Boycotting Marriage, Fatherhood and the American Dream, and Why it Matters. By Helen Smith PhD.
Although this new book about men is written by a woman, she clearly likes men, and listens to what men say, both socially and professionally in her practice as a psychologist. She also runs a men’s rights blog, so she is well informed about contemporary male attitudes.

Step right up ladies and gentlemen to see yet another unbelievable act of mental gymnastics, flexible ideology and creative justice. When a man did it we got the Bristol Clauses with feminist claims that all men are potential child murderers no matter how they might appear, and we saw tens of thousands of men treated accordingly. But when a women does it, albeit unsuccessfully, we get heaps of sympathy for her, her lame excuses are taken as truth and she is sentenced to, wait for it, 6 months’ supervision! (more…)

The following comments are based on the above article by Sarah Harvey.
The post-World War II population bubble is just that, a post-war population-bubble. For some reason people born into that era seem to be viewed as a genetic deviation to the human race, their existence conveniently answering awkward questions for lazy researchers.
Baby boomers risk pushing our already high suicide rate to new levels as the rate of elderly people committing suicide skyrockets.
There we have it; Babyboomers are responsible for the ‘skyrocketing’ rates of elderly suicide. By the same analysis since there were only 94 murders in the decade of the 1950’s and over 500 in the current decade – we’re homicidal maniacs as well.

The following article gives insight into the philosophical position of the particular division of the United Nations responsible for women. I can easily see there being real resistance, (not a backlash against equality) to offering money to people who think like this especially when you get down to this piece.
“Women need equal access to education, opportunities, and to economic resources such as credit and land, and to justice,” she said. “Women need to have choices and for this sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights are essential.”
How will they achieve their goals?
In 2012, UN Women’s revenue was $220 million and its expenses were $235 million. This year, she said the agency needs $100 million to end 2013 “in a healthy way.”

UN Women’s Knowledge Gateway for Women’s Economic Empowerment will launch in September 2013. It is an online platform for women’s economic empowerment.
The article goes on to quote the United Nations;
Women bear a disproportionate burden of the world’s poverty. They are often paid less than men for their work and employed in insecure, unsafe and low-wage jobs. According to UN Women, they receive just 10% of the world’s income yet do 66% of the work.
Interesting to note the economic data released from the United States this week; (more…)

Yes, here we have it guys, it’s definitely in the bottom line of this article.
“Leadership talent is in short supply in New Zealand and globally. Yet at every successive management level significant proportions of talented women drop out or their career stalls. This is the leaking talent pipeline,” it says.
Who are the authors of this project to promote the interests of women in the New Zealand working world? Tax-payer funded Ministry of Women’s affairs, of course.

In trying to work out what Mr. Evgeny Orlov’s incompetence trial was actually about (as it seemed to be a distraction tactic), brought me round to what would be the top priority for the law society to avoid public discussion?
The top two issues, to my guess, would be:
2. failure to serve the customer properly and economically
1. fraudulent charging by legal workers

United Future’s flexible government-superannuation proposal is typical of Dunne’s on-going lack of respect for New Zealand men. National has been in no hurry to confront what others are calling an essential issue with John Key telling us that the retirement age won’t be raised from 65 while he is prime minister.
That may suggest that he (and government) are avoiding the issue or it may suggest that the issue is simply not as big a threat as some people make of it. Populist politicians like Dunne exist for any limelight that can be acquired by addressing a perceived lack of leadership or an invented crisis. (more…)
It has recently been declared that New Zealand women’s biggest health issue is obesity, which now comes in ahead of well canvassed issues such as breast cancer and the affects of cigarette smoking.
The difficulty, that men in particular face, is that the subject is often seen as a taboo area of discussion between any woman and other men including her partner. (more…)
I post this clip BBC NEWS to illustrate the danger that men encounter when bad things happen to their female partners. Two good men have lost a good proportion of their lives due to a Police witch hunt after Barrie White’s girl friend, Rachel Manning, 19, was murdered.
Kieth Hyatts interview is very sad indeed. His hope is that the Parents of Rachael will at least meet with Barri and him but unfortunately, in the world we live in, Rachael’s mother has not the slightest bit of pity for Barrie and still lays the blame on him for not being with Rachael on the fateful night, owing to him leaving the night club on his own after they had a tiff. If he had stayed with her, then in different circumstances, he would be labeled as a controlling male. Dammed if you do , dammed if you don’t. There is to be a doco on Barri and Kieth in a few weeks. If there is interest from your end I will post it here?

If you are currently representing yourself in the Family, District or High Court, or have a case that finished in the last year, you may be eligible to participate in a research project on the self-representation in the New Zealand civil courts. The study is now open to anyone in New Zealand. Have your say on how the system responds to self-represented litigants. For more information see www.selfrepresented.org.nz. Thank you to everyone who has already responded for the call to participants.
