Great to see NZ Herald columnist Kerre Woodham has had a go at airlines continuing with the sexist policy of removing males from seats next to where unaccompanied children are seated. This small minded, bigoted policy has been adopted by many airlines around the world. Some have since reversed it but others have put their […]

Ever wondered why the Men’s Movement over the last quarter of a century has failed to bring about real change and gain equal rights within family law? Perhaps you have wondered why Feminists are highly successful in every quest they embark on? Maybe you have wondered why so many people have a belief in a God […]

Support? System Down is a documentary film that covers the everyday issues of stress, family, struggle and suffering that families experience when put through the detrimental, winding manoeuvres of the family court systems, which are flooded with more cases than the labour force can handle or chooses not to handle. Finally, a shocking documentary that […]

Warring parents will be encouraged to sort out custody disputes and other matters without lawyers, under a shake-up of the Family Court. Justice minister Judith Collins announced a series of reforms today which include introducing a Family Disputes Resolution (FDR) service. Families must go through this system to sort out private parenting matters, such as […]
The gay marriage debate is interesting. It is very narrow and fails to point out the negative implications for already marginalised fathers. Most men on this site, like myself, would have been in a marriage with the intention of it, being a state institution, giving them superior rights for access to their children, in case […]

Hi fathers, Since December 2008, some of you will have read about the then Deputy Chief of the NSW Fire Brigade who was searching the world for his the 3 yo son, abducted from Australia by his wife. Against all odds, he succeeded, after a cycle crusade conducted over 6500kms around Europe. After more than […]
My enquiry: What assistance does Shine provide for abused men? I have been involved for many years with Menscentre, and was on the Separated fathers Support Trust which established a Men’s Refuge. Our experience is that many organizations in the DV field were totally negative to men, and regarded DV as entirely men attacking women. […]

In NZ, the public discourse is about obvious child neglect or serious injury done in a minute and the more subtle emotional neglect, which injures children over weeks and months is neglected in the public debate. This longer term damage by emotional neglect, affects many, many more children, probably over 10,000. It cannot be seen […]

It can be educational, to lift one well known and understood story, change the names to something else (a less well known story) and then see if the newly developed story has any ring of truth in it? This can be an unfair and abusive technique? It can also give some insight into the less […]

This post is requesting readers to supply an answer to the above question. I am conducting research on the subject and keen to hear from the ‘horses mouth’ what it was that motivated you to pursue fatherhood. I assume a lot of men on this site will have mixed feelings now but if you can […]

I received a call from Jim Bagnal at the end of last week, informing me that Men’s Centre North Shore is no longer able to continue running support meetings on Monday nights. As far as I know, any official funding ran out years ago, and expenses have been met by individual supporters for some time.

There has been some debate on the White Ribbon Campaign’s Facebook page under a picture of a woman with bullet holes all around her face and the words “Killing me softly with his words”, and elsewhere. The nice white ribbon people have now removed my comments and seem to have blocked me from further input.

I’m interested in others’ thoughts on this. I say It’s time we officially recognize the so-called ‘Sensible’ Sentencing Trust as an anti-male group. Garth McVicker will become another nominee for the 2012 Miss Andry Male Bashing Award.

With the familycaught$ heading into a period of extreme change, there may be an increase in manipulation and perjury. Entitlement leads to immunity from other people’s rules. This is a dangerous disease, so try to be careful not to catch it yourself. As Machiavelli said, time is the greatest innovator. When the invisible rules of […]

As expected the reply from the Associate Minister of Health Peter Dunne was a fob off, in response to my clear expose of anti-male gender bias by the Ministry of Health in the way it reports and responds to suicide. I publish Mr Dunne’s letter here for all to see the extent to which it […]

What is the world coming to? Mainstream media finally saying something sensible about the Family Court! Herald on Sunday editorial: Family Court not for revenge Groups representing fathers have long claimed, with some plausibility, that the Family Court process routinely holds fathers’ rights as less important than mothers’, for example by granting orders ex parte […]
