National Party has a new leader. What does that mean?

Filed under: General — julie @ 8:48 am

Political correspondent John Armstrong outlines the main priorities for National’s new leadership.

Top ten Keys to success

3 Reach out to the country’s women voters.

National desperately needs to address the imbalance which has the party drawing far more support among males. The party needs to move beyond relying on tax cuts as its major branding device. Women voters want reassurance that tax cuts do not entail pillaging Government services. Labour will anyway try to neutralise National on tax cuts by putting forward its own package. Up for review will be whether National continues to pitch its message around Don Brash’s five core priorities – tax cuts, welfare reform, one law for all, law and order, and choice in education.

Now we have both main parties for women. Labor and National. What does that mean for men?

It might be a good idea to either get out of New Zealand ASAP (before they stop you from being able to) or put all assets into Trusts, visit Mental health for depression, sit on a benefit and go fishing or bush until it all comes crumbling down.

Woman Spends Thanksgiving On Billboard

Filed under: General — julie @ 7:44 am

e-mail from Teri Stoddard

Shelly Barreras says sometimes you have to do whatever it takes, in a peaceful way, to get results, especially when you’re dealing with government.

New Mexico Governor Richardson has apparently reneged on a promise to help the Barreras family recover $15,000 collected by the state as child support from Steve Barreras, for a child that never existed.
foxnews.com

At half-past four Thursday morning Barreras climbed a ladder to her perch above I-40 to hang a large banner. Emergency vehicles and crews from three television stations arrived and the roads were closed.

*VIDEO: Barreras planned on spending four days atop the billboard at I-40 and University youtube.com in Albuquerque, until…

Domestic Violence is going too far

Filed under: General — julie @ 10:56 am

I think it is wonderful that everyone is doing something whether it be making a political party to influence from the inside, here posting to open eyes of others or protesting or writing to polititions or speaking amongst friends or pamplet drops and especaiily giving their support to others. (walking them through child support issues and the FC)

But the reality is that family life has also deteriorated over the years because women fought for rights to get out of DV and the state stepped in to provide for them. There is so much history about the good femenism has done in NZ for women and for children. And not just for women who were victims of DV but also for those whose husbands died and other situations.

But before these things came into play women did find ways to deal with it and they mostly helped each other out.

Now we won’t do much without some sort of Government assistance (funding) and the Government has become the power to fix all our problems. Not only that but it provides us with free education if we are single mothers and everything else from free books to almost free (or Government assisted) massages. Soon we will have cheap nail care. LOL.

But many of these women are not happy. It is really tough work raising families and even tougher on your own. All the counselling that is government funded is not really helping.

The young mother’s groups that are Government funded are not filled with mother’s getting advice for their children or making friends to support each other but becoming a gossip centre to see who is getting more sex and what else is free and so on.

Then there are the mothers who are a bit older and are trying to get off benefits and have lives but they are now chained to benefits and are unhappy because all their life is about is raising a child on their own and schooling part-time or full-time or working part-time or full-time.

Women are doing all sorts of strange and wonderful things to get their inner needs met and as our young men they don’t see anything really worthwhile in their futures.

Of course you have the women who are trying to balance big careers with children but they are finding it reallly tough and exhausting.

The happiest women of all seem (generalising) to be the one’s that are married and have been through their ups and downs with a partner they trust and appreciate.

But many, many women and men are coming from single parent families and have no knowledge of relationships ups and downs and how they become as solid and as trusting as their family was when they were children. We are already in our third generation for this.

But as NZ people leave the country so do these stats and then immigrants who are 2 parent families come in and lift the stats so from the outside we look pretty good (balanced).

Femenism will also break these families up and they will become unhappy and their chances of real success or retiring comfortably will decrease. It will sweep the world into devastation and it will become hard work to bring it out and even many generations.

Funny enough is that there are heaps of groups and individuals that already know all this. It is about everyone speaking up because we can stop alot of devastation. Is that not what people are also doing about our environment? And we should have sorted that out 2 decades ago but as femenism there are players making money who do not want the truth revealed. People run countries, not Governments.

Families no better off 20 years on

Filed under: General — julie @ 10:36 am

By Simon Collins

NZHerald

“A massive shift of women into paid work over the past 20 years has left the average New Zealand family no better off.

A research project led by Prime Minister Helen Clark’s husband, Auckland University sociologist Peter Davis, has found that the median family income, after adjusting for inflation and family size, was just over $37,000 a year in 1981 – and was still just over $37,000 in 2001.”

Families on middle and low incomes have ended up merely holding their own, while high-income families are better off.

A sociologist in the team, Gerard Cotterell, said other measures also showed that real wages had been static or falling over the past 20 years.

Benefit levels were cut in the late 1980s and particularly in 1991 and had never recovered in real terms.

“It’s kind of stunning,” he said.

“Income inequality has increased in Western countries.

“What’s scary in New Zealand is that it hasn’t got better under Labour. There are more people in employment, but it’s low-paid employment.”

Then the article explains how the stats are founded with this line at the end…

so that it is not affected by social changes such as the trend towards more sole-parent families.

But dear me, taxpayers have 3 generations of sole parents to look after till death yet. LOL.

Taxing Men or Child Support?

NEWARK — A proposal from the Licking County Prosecutor’s Office might put an end to an Upper Arlington man making child support payments to his ex-wife — even though she died in April, and he has custody of their three children.

Joe Randolph, 44, has been instructed by Licking County Child Support Enforcement Agency officials that he must continue the payments until a court tells him he can stop. Thus, he has been paying more than $1,300 per month to nobody in particular.

United Future does care for fathers

Filed under: General — julie @ 7:50 am

This is just a couple of e-mails between us.

Dear Gordon,

I am very concerned about the way this country is going. I beg of you sincerely to take some time to step back and be still to see that we are headed in a downward spiral.

Our femenists have gone overboard and this has created powerless men.
In turn this is creating out of control youth and our young children are being taught from primary school that girls are more important than boys.

As much as I love some of these PHD’s personally, they have become out of touch with reality in some ways and if we continue trying social experiments we will end up with a Hitler Youth race as we are heading in the same way.

Julie

……..

Dear Julie,

Many thanks indeed for your thoughtful email.

One of the primary motivations which prompted my decision to stand for Parliament was my deep concern about the way in which New Zealand family life has deteriorated during my lifetime, but more particularly, during the last 25 years. That is why building strong families through pre-marriage and other relationship counselling courses during marriage or cohabitation combined with strong parenting programmes, at all stages of a child’s development, are a core United
Future policy.

With that in mind I attach hereto a copy of our party’s principles in relation to New Zealand families.

Keep up the great work you are doing Julie. It is vitally important to our nation’s future.

With all good wishes,

Gordon Copeland MP
…………………………

Dear Gordon,

I know that you are busy and that I not making it much easier as I
threatened to take things to the streets, and put you e-mail on the
www.menz site. I am doing neither at the moment and want you to know
that I do not exploit others for my own gain.

Something has to be done about the way this country is going and I am
going to try to do my part. I have only recently starting getting
involved in the bigger picture and I am very dissappointed in what I
see.

We will go to the streets at some stage in the near future for a
peaceful demonstration.

Thanx for your time.

Dear Julie,

Thanks for your further email. Please feel free to put my email on your
website if you think that would help the cause.

With all good wishes,

Gordon Copeland

Q v Catton (update)

Filed under: General — Paul Catton @ 6:15 pm

Dear All,

Monday: 2.51 pm Prosecution open with statement, Defendant also makes opening statement, Prosecution then present its case (adjourned 4.30pm)
Tuesday: 10.21am Prosecution continues until 10.50am, Defence then opens and concludes 3.20pm
Wednesday: 10.30am Court asks Defendant if there is any objection to a S.347 Discharge (Acquittal) being Ordered, Defendant accepts, Jury instructed and released from duty, Defendant free to go.

To say this has been an ordeal would be vastly understated, and like getting an Oscar, there are a multitude to thank, they have provided the invaluable support and assistance, and without this help, well who knows?
I sincerely thank you all.
A seperate note of thanks goes to the Auckland District Court headed by the presiding Judge M D Robinson who handled the case impeccably.
Also the Crown Prosecutor who completely fulfilled her role as an “Officer of the Court” who is supposed to present a Crown case impartially.
Ms Latimer excelled in this role.

NZ Family Courts could well take note and exercise their obligations to Justice with similar diligence.

Again, Thankyou and kindest regards

Paul
